What customers say
This is a highly-rated, basic campsite offering excellent value. Guests praise the friendly, accommodating owners and the convenient location for climbing, walking, and visiting Weymouth. Facilities are described as clean but simple, with some guests wishing for minor improvements. The presence of farm animals is a popular bonus for families. Noise from a nearby quarry was mentioned by a few, but generally not an issue for most.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Friendly busy campsite great location
We loved seeing all the animals including Emu’s in their pens at the side and sheep roaming freely about on the site
So cheap to stay as well absolutely perfect and can’t wait to get back there again next year, the pop up pizza stall on the Saturday was a bonus, can’t comment on any facilities as we didn’t use any having all our own stuff in our camper van.
Shops pubs and a cafe all down the road from the site
Disliked Leaving and going home 😔

Would definitely stop here again!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (four person)
Liked Perfect location. Close to Weymouth, and plenty of shops and takeaways nearby.
Easy Check In. Arrived late due to bank holiday traffic but was no problem with the owners.
Very laidback atmosphere. Noise typically quietened around 10pm but then pretty much silent from 11pm. Didn’t need to pressure ourselves in to eating early to ensure fire out by certain times etc.
Basic facilities. Only a couple of toilets but always clean and stocked with toilet roll. Never got caught out!
Pitch sizes really good (assuming no one pitches close to you!).
We were only a couple but noticed a few groups who were no bother at all.
No WiFi on site but good signal so was able to easily plan our daily trips around Weymouth/Jurassic coast.
Very affordable. Only two of us and we had just missed out on the £10 per night (up to 2 people) so ended up paying £15 per night (up to 4 people) but even paying £15 per night was the cheapest campsite we’ve ever stayed at.
Disliked Some tents allowed to pitched a little too close to their neighbour. Obv not too much of an issue if in a group but for couples/families, bit of space would be nice (was plenty of space for it). Don’t think this was a campsite/owner fault, more so lack of campsite etiquette knowledge of the campers.

Extremely basic, Easy to find. Good central location
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (four person)
Liked The man was really nice and friendly.
The pizza pop up was a nice touch.
The animals were cool.
Disliked Everything.
Only 1 sink. It just wasnt enough. And very awkward, with people trying to wash/do teeth and wash hands, Could do with at least 1 more and a washing up station at least.

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Flat ground. The owner was friendly when he drove round the field.
Disliked Badly looked after animals! 5 loose sheep wandering around the site. Toilet roll running out.( no we didnt ring the owner in the middle of the night) awful views, see pics.

From the manager: We appreciate your feedback back, but your feedback around poorly looked after animals is untrue. The welfare of our animals are at the heart of everything we do.
And I'm not sure you know much about farms or how to look after farm animals as they are well feed and looked after.
Hopefully there is enough in the budget for new loos next year
