What customers say
This is a peaceful, rural campsite with friendly, helpful owners and stunning countryside views. Pitches are hardstanding with electric hook-up and water. Facilities are basic but clean, including hot showers. The site is praised for its value and suitability for families, with an on-site dirt bike track being a particular hit. Access roads are narrow. Some guests noted that the facilities, while functional, are rustic and could benefit from updating.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked This was our 2nd night at Wheeldon Farm. We liked it so came back. Our son liked big playground which seems to be relatively new. Site was quiet during our stay even this is working farm. Friendly owners.

Small site, during our stay there…
Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Small site, during our stay there were only other 3 campervans so very private. Good facilities with drinking water by every parking space and easy access to electricity.
Great views over the hills from all parking spots.

Hardstanding pitch with electric and water…
Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Hardstanding pitch with electric and water on each pitch
Disliked Really tight lanes to get to and a bit out of the way to walk to anywhere with a big motorhome wouldn’t want to be going in and out of lanes

Not great.
Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Unfortunately we only liked when it was time to leave.
Disliked This is our experience.
Booked this site last minute as a stop over
Did not enjoy our stay, no one to greet us, not a message to advise there would be no one to greet, found our own way about. Made arriving very awkward.
Parked up on a concrete slab.
Wanted a shower after we arrived. For anyone who doesn’t like spiders this will be your worst nightmare showers all webs and spiders, was great.
There was also mud on the shower floors.
Went to the toilet bugs everywhere, would it be hard to clear the webs etc while the facilities are being cleaned?
Kids up till late kicking a ball on the concrete slab, hit off our van,
No site rules.
I’ve stayed on a farm site before but this was the worst.
The site is based on a kids bike track, which wasn’t made clear while booking, for anyone wanting a peaceful bug free night id book else where!
£25 for the night is not worth it, I paid £27 the night before at another site and the experience was fantastic. Save your money and book elsewhere.

Ideal for an overnight stay
Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Nice and quite, lovely views as on a hill, even though a working farm with animals, showers worked but not steady hot water as on a timer, toilets ok, all could do with a freshen up, owner and family friendly and helpful, electric hook up and water points near by
Disliked Nothing really, just be aware of tight country lanes whether campervan or motorhome

Lovely site, great for stop offs on a campervan trip, great for kids.
Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Lovely little stop on our campervan holiday.
Level pitch. Toilet and shower block. Lovely park for our little one.
Has a motorbike track indoor and outdoor, which my little boy loved watching. Owners are happy for you to play on it with a peddle bike when they are not using it for motorbikes. The motorbikes were also electric when we went to watch, so you couldn’t hear a thing.
Beautiful view of Dartmoor.
Disliked Tricky road up to the site but worth it.
Showers are great but they are on a timer, they go off after around 5 minutes and won’t come back on for about 2 minutes, so me who puts conditioner in her hair and leaves it for a few minutes before washing it out … I was stood there waiting for them to come back on.
But these aren’t really dislikes, more just an FYI.
