Pitch overlooking the devon countryside

  • Award-winning 80-acre site two miles from the beach
  • Pools, pub, fish and chip shop, sauna, steam room and gym
  • Five private fishing lakes, woodland adventure zone and nature trails
Anyone who relishes a bit of variety on their holidays should give this award-winning site serious consideration: there are buckets and spades of activities for all ages, both on site and in the immediate vicinity. Tucked into a valley, only a mile away from swathes of Blue Flag beaches, and a 10-minute drive from Dawlish Warren, Cofton Holidays has 80 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland laced with nature trails for visitors to explore. The facilities here will keep the whole family happily entertained for weeks: Cofton's indoor pool has massage jets and hydrotherapy bubble loungers, as well as a sauna, steam room and gym (a small additional charge applies), and there's a splash area with water jets to entertain the kids. Or set off angling instead at one of the five private fishing lakes, to bag a monster carp (24-pounders aren't unknown here). More? Kids can bounce around in the three dedicated play areas or explore the adventure zone in the woods, with activities such as pond dipping and bug hunting laid on in season; if it’s raining, there’s also a games room with amusements and a pool table. After these exertions, retire to the poolside patio of the Swan Inn for a refresher and a snack: the pub opens every night and serves up a good range of grub (breakfast and lunch are also available at weekends), plus regular entertainment including live bands, discos and karaoke in high season. Cofton also has its own fish and chip joint, as well as a shop for any vittles you might need. Wifi across the whole site (charges apply) means staying connected is simple, and it’s also worth mentioning that Cofton has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.

Liked Like the park overall the staff were nice and the facilities are good.

Disliked The swings near the club house need an adjustment squeaking is so loud on electric tent pitches above the day visitor carpark, would not recommend. There is allot of seagulls so be aware they will be allot of noise from them. Menu for food would be a little on the pricey side for medium family earners 17.00 a burger. Pay for WiFi after 3 hrs its poor

Liked The indoor pool etc was good
Sunday roast was good. Great washroom and area outside was excellent
Staff friendly and helpful

Disliked On Wednesday 20th May at night it seem on every 15 minutes a shoot gun went off. All through the night, our dog was barking then unsettled. Neither my wife or I could get to sleep. We got up at 2.30am starting packing etc. Had to leave a day earlier to go home so we could actually have some sleep. If we knew this was going to happen we would not have booked this time here

10 metre fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch (super)

Liked Absolutely amazing place, so clean and tidy. Facility were brilliant.

Disliked Wifi is awful, we paid £25 to access the Internet for seven days as our phones did not have any signal what so ever. Ummm we could not access the wifi at all. We did go to reception to complain and they offered us a refund not a solution we we after. Still waiting for the payment. Think they gave forgot. Also have to pay £21.00 for a week on energy on top of site fees was expensive.
