What customers say
This holiday park is highly rated by families for its cleanliness, excellent facilities, and abundant activities for children. Guests praised the spacious pitches, friendly staff, and the lively entertainment. The swimming pool was a particular highlight. While most visitors had a positive experience, some noted issues with Wi-Fi connectivity, occasional noise, and the booking system for the pool. The location, close to beaches and attractions, was also frequently mentioned.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Clean, well laid out site, close to beaches, all amenities you’d need
Disliked Pool availability was very poor, massively limited due to hot weather (somewhat understandable) but having checked on pool booking a week and again the day before it was very annoying. Potentially the main reason to book here, but only allowed 1x2 hour timeslot for a 4 day break is appalling. Food pricing is prohibitive too, £4.50 for a cone of chips is robbery!
Facilities don’t seem to match capacity when it’s fully booked

Electric hardstanding and grass pitch (premium)
Liked We had an absolutely brilliant time! We left a day early because unfortunately we were all struggling with the heat! It had literally every single facility that was needed and we will definitely return!
Disliked I wouldnt say dislike it was just a shame we couldn’t spend the day at the pool! I understand there was such a lot of people it would be unrealistic to expect to stay longer than our timeslot but its something I honestly didnt think about prior to booking!

Liked Great pitch, clean facilities
Disliked Poor management to access or no access of swimming pool. Eventually management brought up some system of booking online.

Electric grass pitch
Liked We stayed for four nights on one of the electric hook‑up pitches. Pitch 143 was in a peaceful spot by the trees. The toilet block was very basic but clean. I must commend the staff, who worked long hours during the day to keep it that way. I simply cannot believe how disgusting some ladies can be — it became very clear as soon as the cleaning staff went home for the night.
Quite shocking, really.
I also appreciated the fact that there was a shop on site, as well as a small amusement arcade.
Disliked I decided to book Monkey Tree based on the fact that it was close to Newquay and had an on‑site pool. Unfortunately, the whole experience was rather disappointing due to the admin staff and the very chaotic approach to customer service. This was my first visit to the site, yet I received no welcome pack — only a map. In the end, I never connected to the on‑site Wi‑Fi, as I was never given a password. There was also no information provided about the swimming pool.
I discovered the hard way that there was a one‑hour time limit per guest. This was later hastily changed to a set of rather impractical booking slots “to make things fair”, communicated to guests by email. It was impossible to book a slot through Reception; I was told, quite bluntly, to go to the pool myself and book directly with the swimming pool team.
The worst part was that we all had to queue in full sun — on one of the hottest days of the year — just to book a swimming slot. Unfortunately, the pool staff were aloof and not at all welcoming, which left me feeling like an inconvenience.
Additionally, although the pool apparently has a capacity of 150 guests, there were only a handful of loungers and five parasols, all in full sun. When I asked about parasols, I was told that the five already taken were all that were available. I left the pool after 25 minutes, genuinely concerned about heatstroke.

It was a shame we couldn’t go in the pool more times than we hoped
Electric grass pitch
Liked - The swimming pool
- The parks
Disliked - The loose grass in the pitch, I understand that there is a reason for this but it makes everything really messy
- The amount of grass on the toilet floors due to the loose grass in the pitch
- Some toilets weren’t regularly cleaned, so I went to different ones
- Washing up area wasn’t regularly cleaned, and people didn’t clean up after themselves
- We stayed and paid a lot of money to be able to use the pool facilities, we could only use it once. We have to wire for 40 minutes in the baking sun to then only have half an hour in the pool.

A good park to keep kids entertained with lots to do.
Electric grass pitch
Liked Good range of facilities for kids.
Clean and well maintained.
Staff friendly.
Spacious pitches.
Disliked Noise level across the site high.
Rowdy groups of adults screaming and swearing at there children whilst getting increasingly drunk.
Reception staff quickly dismissed queries on phone before arrival, one being about the noise levels as it was almost warned in the pre arrival email but when asked if perhaps we should look for a quieter area were quickly just told we would be fine, in fact it was very noisy and our children stuggled to sleep.

Electric grass pitch (large)
Liked Great facilities, great pitches (I’m sure we had a premium hard standing) and great location not far from beaches and town.
Disliked Map indicates ’scoop ice cream’ but staff had no idea where the ice cream shop was. So I had disappointed kids.
