What customers say
This quiet, rural campsite offers a peaceful, rustic experience with lovely views and a relaxed atmosphere. Facilities are basic but generally clean and functional, including a communal kitchen area with cooking equipment and fridges. Guests appreciated the eco-friendly approach, farm setting with horses, and proximity to walks and pubs. Some arrival confusion and basic amenities were noted, but many found the site to be a hidden gem and would return.

Didn’t match price point, poor toilets and unmowed grass
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked 5 stars, average score. The barn and location was great
Disliked Only one toilet and one shower, can be described rustic but it’s a very outdoor toilet right next to the wash up sinks.
Cold water to wash up.
Grass was overgrown and unmowed.
Didn’t match price point.

Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Location was great to access Portsmouth. Clear signage but in small letter, difficult to read.
Disliked Facility at the site didn't reflect the price we paid for the weekend. Only cold water for washing dishes. The shower hot water regulator was not working and as a result it was only very hot water.

Rustic site, friendly staff but unclear instructions. basic facilities
Electric grass campervan pitch
Liked • Staff were friendly once an initial arrival confusion was sorted.
• Loved being offered the cottage shower when the site shower broke — it was warm, clean and very welcome after a trail run.
• Peaceful, rural setting with a relaxed vibe.
• I can imagine it being a really lovely, chilled site in summer for those seeking rustic simplicity.
Disliked • Site was tricky to find — a What3Words location or clearer arrival directions would help.
• Mixed messages on where to park; being told to park on the grass, then being asked to move, was confusing and made arrival stressful.
• Electric hook-up was too far from the allocated pitch, and required a 240v adaptor that wasn’t mentioned in booking details and I don't have an adapter
• The on-site shower was broken (unavoidable, but worth noting), and the alternative cottage bathroom hadn’t been cleaned between guests (unmade bed, used towels left out).
• Washing-up area was extremely basic and not clean with cold water only, which also wasn’t mentioned in the listing.
• For £40 per night, the facilities didn’t feel reflective of the price, especially when expecting hook-up and a shower.

Lovely quiet spot
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked Quiet, rustic and very peaceful location. Booked very last minute for the night and all very relaxed, just drove in, parked up. No sign of owners, saw a sign for self check in but couldn't work it out, no bother as plenty of space.
Loved the cooking facilities although didn't need to use them. Cottages looked nice too.

Disliked Not being able to have a campfire next to your tent but respect the reasons for that. There was a communal area where you were allowed a fire.
