Lovely private site, pitches are really well spaced apart.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Everything, I think it’s my favourite site in my past 10 years of camping.!
The pitches are really well spaced for privacy, I love that you can’t get your car near the pitches so your not listening to cars moving about all the time.
The quad with the trailer to get you to your pitch is a brilliant idea.
The pizzas and bar in the evening are great, we also had a breakfast in the tea room the following morning.
I also liked the fact that you don’t have to checkout until 11am.
Even the portaloo’s were the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Water was red hot, honestly can’t fault it.
Would we stay again??? ABSOLUTELY.!!
Disliked: Nothing to dislike it’s lovely

Bell tent
Liked: Beautifully kept and well thought-out site, and very peaceful. Pizzas and cafe food excellent, plus a very cute (and well-received) bar.
The hosts are welcoming and friendly, and the bell tent that we stayed in was a great size for two adults and two children - there was plenty headroom and floor space, even with the kids' beds laid out. A very welcome surprise was that they have been upgraded recently and are made of semi-blackout material, which meant that we all slept pretty much normally, despite it being close to the longest day and so very light outside.
The tents came with lots of very thoughtful extras like a portable gas burner and kettle (plus other cookware), lights, cushions and even two big camping chairs. There's an integrated wood burner, too; I'm tempted to come back when it's colder, just to be able to use it! Outside, you get your own picnic bench, and there's a nice amount of space (I'd say at least 5m) between the tents, so there's room for the kids to kick a ball about and without bothering the neighbours.
The bell tents sit on a nice flat run of well-kept grass overlooking the small marina and facing the sunset. They're close to the cafe and also the car park, which means it's no problem to leave stuff in your car if you like.
All in all, this is a great site and we'll definitely be coming back!

Gorgeous views, great pitches, friendly locals and helpful staff!
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: This was our second camping trip as a couple with our dog and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
When we arrived our belongings were taken over to the pitch by a quad bike, and again picked up as we were leaving even though we didn’t ask for help! We were starting to walk our things to the car and the staff member came over and told us he would help which was appreciated.
The campsite is stunning, the views are amazing and the pitches are really well maintained. We loved how the pitches were mowed out as it meant our dog felt comfortable that we had our own space! We were also very lucky to have the campsite to ourselves on our second night.
The main facilities have everything you need, with portaloos (very clean), showers and washing up facilities next to the campsites to save walking in the night.
The pizza on Saturday night was great and I was very happy to be able to get an iced coffee for breakfast from the cafe!
We will definitely be making this our regular campsite. All the locals from the marina were lovely and friendly. Lots of dogs being walked around the site!
Disliked: Nothing apart from the weather!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: The owner was there to great us, and explained the site to us letting us know where the toilet and showers were. As you can't park next to your pitch, all gear and luggage was transported for you.
The toilet and shower facilities were very clean at all times.
Even got to try the pizzas very yummy.
Definitely be revisiting
