Meadow non-electric grass tent or campervan pitch
Liked: Pool bridge farm is delightful, it was great to have access to the swimming lakes included with the camping; they were really beautiful and great to swim in. The onsite cafe had really good food and staff were lovely.
Disliked: There were no real facilities included with camping except for three portaloos on the campsite. A particular omission was the lack of water points with camping. One main block had proper toilets and a washup/sink & water point, but this was a 5 minute walk from the campsite. The website said shower facilities were available for campers, but there was only one shower and it wasn't open during our stay.

Liked: The location- it was easy to find and very convenient for us. Nature- it was fantastic we saw a barn owl, kestrels, a heron, ducks, as well as the cheeky resident jackdaw. Being able to swim in the lakes as often/ much as we wanted whilst there was a real tonic. Having the camping field to ourselves was amazing too, I felt so relaxed by the time we left. There were picnic tables dotted around the field which was really helpful and the campfires and logs were great too.
Disliked: Portaloos, but they did put some lovely pictures in them to try and spruce them up a bit! I think they're aiming to have a new amenities block in the camping field in time for the summer. I think the lack of facilities made it quieter though, so in that way this was a plus for us. Lack of bins/ recycling facilities. This wasn't really an issue for us because we were just staying 2 nights and don't mind taking our rubbish home but it could be an issue if you have a family and are staying longer.

Liked: quiet location
Disliked: very expensive, minimal facilities including a shower that could not be used when the cafe was open! - also advertised as "no dogs" yet dogs all over the campsite

From the manager: Thanks for your review we pride ourselves on our quiet location and dark skies, we thought it would help if we highlighted a few things: *We are campsite based around wild swimming and the cost includes access to our swimming lakes for your entire stay. *We do not allow dogs to camp or visit the lakes, however 3 dogs live it work on the farm * As stated in our description we have minimal facilities untill July when our new shower block is due to arrive.
