  • Peaceful clifftop holiday park on the North Norfolk coastline
  • Direct access to Norfolk Coast Path; Sheringham five minutes’ drive
  • Dog-friendly grass pitches; half an hour’s walk to the local pubs
With a spectacular location on the North Norfolk coast between Sheringham and Cromer, Beeston Regis Holiday Park is rightly nicknamed nicknamed ‘The King of the Clifftop View’. Set in 62 acres, the site’s two spacious touring and camping fields are indeed on the clifftop – and the majority have sea views. With ample space for parking, the level grass pitches in Church Field all have electric hook-ups, while Hay Field is designated a non-electric, tents-only meadow with the chance to select the pitch of your choice (subject to availability). Both fields are dog-friendly and the Norfolk Coast Path is easily accessible for walkies, while much of West Runton Beach (10 minutes’ walk) is open to dogs all year. You’re welcome to fire up your barbecue on site – buy stuff for the grill from the big supermarket in Sheringham (five minutes’ drive)… but if you’d rather someone else did the catering for you, there are a couple of pubs – both with beer gardens for warmer days – in West Runton (half an hour’s walk). And a final word: park amenities include a top-quality shower block with reliable hot water, washing-up sinks, a launderette service and Elsan point.

Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: Very clean toilet and shower block. Spacious, well defined, level and clearly numbered pitches. Lovely cliff top position, so woke up to sea views. Well positioned to walk to West Runton and Sheringham along the cliff path. There were also on site a large children's playground and a laundry. We were given the WiFi code by the very friendly warden on arrival. There were washing up facilities, drinking water, waste water disposal and clean point.
I hope to return with my daughter in about a month.

Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: Lovely clean site with Sea view.
Toilets & showers immaculate. Coastal hopper bus service available outside site to Cromer & Sherringham or you can walk either way in around 15 minutes.
Little breezy as up on cliff top and some pitches are slightly uneven.
Food van available on site for bacon butties and drinks.

All in all a peaceful site.

Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: Excellent washroom facilities. WiFi available as standard. Easy to get out and walk so no need to drive around, also great bus service. Sea views.

Disliked: We were out of season. Washroom maybe inadequate when busy. Beach access is about 2/3 mile away.
Not recommended with young children due to cliff drop and deep pond.

Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: Amazing sea views and the close proximity to Cromer and Sheringham, with Holt only a 15 minute bus journey away. Also the Village inn a 5 minute walk away serving good traditional pub food. The site is well kept and the bathroom facilities are exceptionally clean with piping hot showers. All pitches are clearly marked out and are 10m x 10m so lots of space to set up camp. An added feature is the cake and coffee van that serves great coffee and lots of delicious homemade cakes and savoury items.

Church Field electric grass pitch

Liked: What a fabulous site. This was our maiden voyage so was very nervous as to what to expect. Absolutely 5 star. From the wonderful welcome at reception to the amazing pitch and the shower and toilet block was VIP, spotlessly clean, modern and everything you needed (even hairdryers). Lovely place to visit and will definitely be going back. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful first adventure.

Disliked: Nothing.

Local attractions

Keen walkers can be striding the Norfolk Coast Path within five minutes of putting on their boots. Shorter walks include the circular amble through beach woodland, heather and gorse at National Trust-owned West Runton and Beeston Regis Heath (35 minutes’ walk), which takes in Beacon Hill – one of the highest points in flat Norfolk – the relics of a former Roman camp and Stone Hill, with fine views to the North Sea. The animal-mad among you can get your fix at Hillside Shire Horse Sanctuary (five minutes’ drive), where rescue alpacas, donkeys and goats join the stately Shire horses for cuddling and petting duty. You might also be lucky enough to spot grey seals on the sand spit at Blakeney National Nature Reserve (25 minutes), where you can also wander around the salt marshes looking for snipe, warblers and terns. Once a fishing village, coastal Sheringham (five minutes’ drive) has lots of indie shops to browse, along with a pebble beach with rock-pooling potential when the tide is out. Cromer (10 minutes) beckons with a long sandy sward, shows at the Pavilion Theatre on its Victorian pier and an artwork from Banksy’s ‘Great British Spraycation’ installation on one of the sea walls.
