What customers say
This is a very clean and well-maintained campsite, praised for its quiet, peaceful atmosphere and beautiful countryside location. Visitors consistently highlight the excellent, spotlessly clean, and often new shower and washroom facilities. Staff are frequently described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The site offers spacious and level pitches. Some guests noted narrow access roads, and occasional rural smells from nearby farming were mentioned, though the manager states this is infrequent. Some works are ongoing as the site undergoes upgrades.

Liked Excellent spacious pitches. The facilities were very clean. A warm welcome after we got lost. It was a shame we only stayed 1 night on our way home as great views and site.
Disliked Getting there! Every road around the site seemed closed and very narrow roads. Then took us half an hour to find a way out of the village as no signs and more roads closed.

I would definitely recommend High Onn Camping to friends and family
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked Decent sized grass pitch on level ground, with the water and waste services close to the pitch, best toilet and shower facility set up with several individual shower/toilet pods with heating, they were spotlessly clean and warm.
The campsite is surrounded by open countryside, so a great location if you want peace and quiet, just a short walk to the Shropshire Union Canal with miles and miles of towpaths to walk or cycle.
The staff were very welcoming, helpful and polite.
We would definitely consider a return visit.
Disliked This is no fault of the campsite, but the condition of the road down from the A41 is in very poor condition with some very large potholes, so please take care if you do book a stay.

Liked Very quiet site..welcoming hosts good ehu elsan and fresh water areas. Clean shower block. Lovely to wake up to bird song instead of road noise from vehicles passing.
Disliked Single track Roads to and from site currently full of pot holes but with caution you can get around them

Liked A lovely clean and well managed site. Toilet and showers were all in one so you can do everything you need to in private. Pitches are a nice size. There is everything you need here. We would absolutely return here.

Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked It is a lovely site and Kerry was working like a trooper keeping everything clean, yes there was a hot water problem, but they got it sorted as soon as it was possible, back up and running (good going for a Easter Saturday)

Staff were lovely and friendly
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked Well maintained and kept pitches with room for privacy from other motorhomes. Showers were the best I've visited in a long time.
Disliked The surrounding roads as enormous pot holes, so not the site owners problem, just something to be aware of driving there.

From the manager: Thank you for your review 🙏🏼 Glad you enjoyed your stay and hopefully see you both again this Season
Great stop off for overnights from M5/M6 travel
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked The location is tranquil with miles of quiet lanes to walk or cycle directly from the gate. Great on site dog walk too. Greatest happiness is it’s almost unchanged since the Caravan and Motorhome Club strangely closed it just a couple of years back. Much sadness at that time so really happy it has reopened with minimal changes. Hopefully it stays that way.
Disliked Please don’t cut back too much more of the natural centre of the site.

Dirty facilities , unfriendly staff
Electric optional grass touring pitch
Liked NOTHING
Disliked Dirty toilets /showers only 2 open, We were there 3 days and they we're not cleaned once. Same hairs all 3 days. NICE !!!
Nowhere was open, although there should be a shop on site.
We asked to move pitch because acorns were dropping on our caravan, and the dog was stressed out all night. Told no spaces although there was lots.
Owners away, left someone in charge who basically couldn't care less. Will not be returning. NO WIFI 💩

From the manager: I am sorry to hear that your stay with us was not enjoyable. As you are aware we had a Weekend off and left a Gentleman in charge. My toilet block is always spotless (which is said within other reviews) but sadly other peoples standards are not like my own, but its a lesson learnt.
As for asking to move Pitch i dont understand why this was not allowed.
I can only apologise
