What customers say
This is a friendly, peaceful campsite with spacious, level pitches, many with EHU and water. The on-site pub is a highlight, offering a welcoming atmosphere and regular live music. Guests praise the helpful staff and the excellent fishing lake. While some toilet and shower facilities are reported as dated, they are generally clean and functional. Occasional noise from trains or events can occur.

Excellent, can’t beat it, we always return and have booked on again.
Non-electric grass touring caravan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Always a lovely time, Shakey always ensures the site is clean and tidy and makes us feel welcome. Our teenage boys love to fish and have a camp fire and to play pool and darts.
Disliked The weather ( 54 Mile winds) obviously not any fault of Skipworth (haha)

Liked Nice quiet site, not too close to other pitches.
Hard standing pitches has electric payable on a top up card system that was very easy to use and have mains water hookup which was a handy facility.
Pub doesn't do food which is a shame but wasn't a problem having our caravan gor self catering. The site rent and pub prices I thought were great value for money and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Nice place to stay, not expensive but don't expect 5 star facilities.
Electric optional hardstanding pitch
Liked A nice site next to a lake at the rear of the pub. Facilities are fine although a little dated but are kept very clean. A lovely area for walking as it is close to the Viking way. There is a railway next to the site but the occasional train noise didn't bother us. The pub is a proper old style pub but with sport tv,poll table and a lovely log burner when its cold. No food available other than snacks. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked Nothing really to dislike, its not posh but its nice!
