What customers say
This is a very clean, well-maintained and friendly site with spacious, level pitches. Visitors praise the helpful staff, excellent facilities including spotless toilets and showers, and the lovely dog walking area. It's ideally located for exploring the Peak District, with proximity to attractions like Carsington Water and Dovedale. While some found the Wi-Fi signal weak and road noise occasionally noticeable, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Well tended site
Pitches were a good size and well marked out
Toilet and shower facilities were spotless
Electric hookup wasn't too far away
Everyone surrounding us followed the quiet rules, so was peaceful well before 11pm.
Disliked Not aimed at the site as there's nothing they can do, but advice for future visitors to make your stay more enjoyable. Take ear plugs if you can wear them as Belper Road stayed busy throughout the night and it's only a field away and also there are regular planes heading to East Mids throughout the night as well, so quite noisy when they are throttling back!
Probably more of an issue for tents rather than caravans as they have more sound deadening!

Ok for pensioners, not for families.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Proximity to Peak District. Ease of entrance and exit. Country location.
Disliked Internet basically nonexistent. Needs several mesh routers to strengthen and extend WiFi coverage! Family shower unit rubbish. Their single-occupant showers are better. No playground to speak of, so not family friendly. You must choose whether to park next to your caravan or put up your awning. If you erect your awning, then you have no place to park as the gravel pitches are quite small.

Nice break away!!
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked We had a lovely quiet and peaceful stay here during October Half Term. The pitch was absolutely fine for us as we never put up an awning. We were on pitch 5 and the electric hook up was close enough to the van. We loved the dog walking section which was private and on the site itself. We used onboard for showers and toilet but the block itself was very clean. We would definitely use this site again if we were in the area.
Disliked WiFi was poor and TV signal wasn’t great at all. This did not impact the great stay we had. The grass was slightly long in the dog walking section area but I completely understand for the time of year it is.

Liked Lovely site, nice & quiet. Toilets/showers clean and plenty of them. Karen the warden was very pleasant on arrival and asked if we needed any help. Close to Carsington Water and 30 mins from Matlock/Bakewell.
