What customers say
This is a peaceful, back-to-basics campsite set in beautiful rural surroundings, ideal for nature lovers. Guests consistently praise the friendly and accommodating owners, the spacious pitches, and the opportunity to observe local wildlife. While facilities are basic (toilets only, no showers), they are generally found to be clean and functional. Some guests mention noise from nearby industrial activity or Heathrow airport, and occasional issues with road access or campsite signage, but most find the tranquil atmosphere and value for money make it a highly recommended and re-visitable destination.

Quiet and scenic spot. Perfect for visiting the local area
Non-electric grass and earth touring pitch
Liked Very quiet and scenic spot considering its close proximity to the hubbub. Third time we have stayed here as perfect central spot for us to visit family and friends. Have been for Xmas, summer hols and now springtime and never been disappointed. Loved watching the deer frolic from the camper bedroom window on waking and the bacon and sausage butties from the farm shop are lush. We are self sufficient in our camper so don’t need any additional facilities so suits us just fine 👍

Liked Quaint campsite with very welcoming staff. Camped on the woodland pitch which was reasonably flat. Facilities very clean.
Disliked Noise from the lorries in the yard behind woods
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: We’re glad you found the pitch and facilities satisfactory.
We’re sorry to hear that the lorry noise disturbed you. The yard does get busy from time to time. Once the weather is better, it’ll be possible to camp further out in the field, which tends to be quieter even when there is traffic in the yard.
We hope you will visit us again.
A Dream Camping spot that YOU need to check out!
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked If you’re looking for a spacious and well-kept place to enjoy a couple of days outdoors, Ellie’s Hill Farm is definitely worth adding to your list. The setting itself is one of the highlights — you have the option to pitch up in a wide open clearing with plenty of space around you, or choose a spot closer to the forest for a more tucked-away, peaceful feel. Both areas are extremely clean and clearly well maintained, which makes the whole experience much more comfortable.
From the moment I arrived, everything felt organised and easy. The staff were helpful and even provided a trolley to move camping gear to the pitch, which made setup much easier. It’s small details like that which really improve the overall experience.
The amenities are also very well thought out. The toilets are only about a 2-minute walk away, and there are plenty of them, so even during busier times you don’t end up waiting in queues. Everything was clean and accessible, which is exactly what you want when staying somewhere for a few days.
One thing I would definitely recommend is trying the on-site café. The sausage and egg sandwich was genuinely one of the best I’ve had in a long time — simple, fresh, and done properly. It’s a great addition to the stay and saves you having to worry about meals if you don’t want to cook everything yourself.
Overall, it’s a calm, enjoyable place to camp whether you’re going solo or with friends. The mix of open space, natural surroundings, and good facilities makes it a solid choice for a relaxing outdoor break.
