Now here’s a location where you’ll really feel like you’re surrounded by nature – Camping Les Iles covers almost 30 acres of greenery on the banks of the Eure river, with a generous 600 metres of riverbank to its name. With two fishing ponds on site, a well-maintained collection of trees and flowers and a lovely riverside path to stroll along, this is a peaceful spot indeed – and one where you may find it difficult to believe that you’re just an hour’s drive from Paris. As well as space to relax, there's also plenty of provision for activity here. The site has a heated swimming pool (with retractable roof so you can still swim in less good weather), a paddling pool, a multisports court, a couple of pétanque courts, a billiards room and a table tennis area, so there’s a lot to keep you busy during time spent on site. Come along in summer and you’ll also be able to join in with organised entertainments, including quiz nights, pétanque tournaments, fishing competitions and dance evenings with live bands. During the summer months (May to September), the poolside snack bar is open for easy access to eats and drinks too. It’s not tricky to find food around here, however – the site is just on the edge of Ivry-la-Bataille, so there are several shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket within a 15-minute walk.

Em va agradar Facilities were decent, we never used the pool but it looked good and they have plenty of things for children to keep them occupied.

More suited to families this site, toilets had seats and they also provided toilet paper and hand soap which is a refreshing thing for France

WiFi was excellent even at the pitch, I would recommend this site to a family but I wouldn’t stay here again!

No em va agradar On our first night a group of around 5-6 French men arrived and set up a tent near our pitch, all was fine until we tried to get to sleep, they partied until 4.30am!

Informed the site staff in morning who didn’t appeared to be bothered, I requested to move pitch which they agreed to…so we had to up sticks and move.

The next pitch was fine and a bit further away for the noisy group who again we could hear until about 4am! Not impressed, they were also urinating at the side of the pitch in open view of all, not an ideal situation if there were children around.

The staff were friendly enough but we felt like an inconvenience at the bar, the site is almost fully set up to cater for their full time residents with static caravans, I was informed that they had only purchased the site we were on last year where they allow motorhomes etc to pitch up.

On arrival you expect to pull into the site and then be given a pitch but no, you are provided with another address where you have to negotiate narrow streets and a very narrow bridge to access the tourer site…we had some difficulty finding the entrance as did others we spoke to, this site is liked to the main site via small foot bridge and a path.

Em va agradar l acceuil ,snack tres sympa est agréable moment ,propreté et entretien dans le camping ,aires de jeux pour les enfants ,belle piscine
promenade dans le camping avec les petit etangs agréable
etre sans vie a vie tranquille

No em va agradar changer juste la cafetiere vielle entartré 25mn pour couler le café

Em va agradar Lovely site with lots of wildlife.
Quiet with good facilities.
We only used as a one night stop on our way south so did not explore all the site had to offer after a long day.
Email with campsite location, entry/exit code and pitch details very clear and easy to find.

Em va agradar Hele mooie verzorgde camping, ruime staanplaatsen, moderne propere sanitair,zowel de wc,douches, afwasplaats. Groot wasmachine en droogkast en heel up to date. Vriendelijke personeel en net ikde gasten met vaste standplaatsen , wij komen zeker terug!

Pretty surroundings for short walks.
Decent well maintained plots.
Nice Swimming Pool & bar area with music (although some versions with explicit lyrics playing!)

No em va agradar Directions regarding reaching correct gate were poor.
Lack of toilet seats & toilet paper.
Slightly tired showers.

Some guests will be using this site as a quick escape from Paris – but for those visiting the area, a day trip to Paris is certainly doable (and recommended). A drive of an hour or so will get you to the outskirts of the city, where you can pick up the metro to get into the centre for all the big landmarks or just soaking up the atmosphere. If you’re not up for Paris, there are alternatives – how about the stunning Palace of Versailles (45 minutes’ drive), the gorgeous Giverny gardens that inspired Monet (40 minutes) or a visit to Chartres (an hour), home to a fabulous Gothic cathedral and a riverbank flanked with medieval buildings. The Eure region has plenty of options for walks, bike rides, horse riding and watersports – or you could explore the scenery at leisure on the Eure Valley Railway (20 minutes). Places like Château d'Anet (five minutes) should satisfy those who like to explore a bit of history on holiday, while the go-karts, inflatables and wooden characters at Le Domaine de la Forêt Enchantée (45 minutes) make a great day trip for families with young kids.
