No em va agradar Quite a few things. There was only one hook with three pegs in the showers. Nothing to put your glasses on for example. The toilets were not clean. I think because of the many children that stayed.
What i disliked most was the lack of wifi. With the money you pay per night you would at least expect wifi. It was the most expensive stay per night that I have ever had in the whole of Europe.

Tents were lovely and cosy.
Lovely space for the kids to play.
Food vendors were nice.
Really well stocked shop.
Lovely play area.

No em va agradar Swimming pool opening hours, need to be open longer.
Beds were a little hard.
Needs its own shower block/ toilets/pot washing in the field.
Such a shame campfires arent allowed 😟(best part of camping for me)

Em va agradar The friendly helpful staff around the site. The bell tents where we’ll set up and clean. The whole site is clean and tidy.

No em va agradar Sloped touring pitches under trees so not much sun. Pool has to be booked, not much availability and shuts early. Toilets hardly cleaned, bins overflowing and always toilet paper on the floor. Rules not enforced, kids on electric bikes and scooters and dogs roaming off lead occasionally fighting!

Em va agradar Lovely staff very friendly and helpful. There were food trucks on site to help with our meal choices it was clean and provided us with everything we needed.

Em va agradar Beautiful site. This is our second stay this year. Everything is well kept.

No em va agradar Surly staff .. not welcoming.. on arrival just told ‘it’s all on the leaflet’ when asked some basic questions

One porta cabin toilet block ( cladded to look nicer) bins overflowing & rubbish not removed.
Grass pitches very close together

Some disrespectful campers which didn’t help… but that’s not the sites fault

No windbreaks or gazebos allowed ( although people did use them )

Looks nice as arrive .. especially the caravans & camping pods .. but touring area felt like an afterthought

Em va agradar Lovely campsite, it is very well maintained with plenty of room between tents. We camped in Dale View which was perfect for us as away from the main area but close enough to the toilets and showers.

You can have a car free day and spend all day on site making use of the park, pool and access to Tissington Trail.

Em va agradar The pods were clean and offered the basic essentials for ‘camping’, along with bedding and pillows. With a 5 month old, the usual tent camping seemed too tricky, so this was a great alternative. The personal toilet/shower/sink was clean and well-kept. The grounds were well-kept and orderly. The playground was a blessing for young children and the shop on-site was handy too.

No em va agradar The swimming booking system doesn’t work and this isn’t made clear on the website info. You can’t book swimming until you check in, which isn’t until 4pm with camping pods but is much earlier with tents, so by the time we arrived to check in, all swimming slots were taken. I expressed my disappointment with this to the staff in reception, who did not seem too concerned or flexible, and kept just responding that this is the process in place- like this would help me explain to my 3 year old. However, by chance my sister-in-law was buying milk from the shop the next day and they had just opened another slot up for that day so we managed to get a slot. I’m not sure why this wasn’t offered when I was showing my disappointment about this but had my sister-in-law not have been in the shop at that time, we wouldn’t have known about it. It just doesn’t seem like the most effective system in place and I feel it could be reviewed.
