Понравилось: This was my first experience as a solo camper. Jill and David are a lovely couple that have an amazing site. It’s clean and well managed and they do their best to make you feel welcome and make sure you have everything you need. I’ve never known site owners to come around and chat to visitors like they do. I felt so safe and comfortable. The toilets are extremely clean and well kept too. It’s right across the road from Bolam Country park which was ideal because I had my dog with me. I will definitely be back!

Понравилось: Site is lovely. Just a grass field, but facilities are excellent and the nature nearby is great. Even the toilets are clean. Hosts are lovely people, they offer lots of help and guidance.

Не понравилось: I was hoping for a quiet, relaxing stay with my wife and 3 year old. It was advertised as a quiet, no party site with quiet hours. It might have been, before the large group of teens (I guess some of them must have been over 18) arrived and decided to have loud, base heavy music until late, then even after we got them to turn it off, the loud and drunken behavior went on until early hours. Their fire was on until late, they were disruptive for everyone around them and they didn't care who was annoyed. Having experienced similar problems in the past at other sites we picked an off-grid site with no bar and quiet hours. I suppose this type of thing is just a staple for campsites these days. Some may be able to put up with it. It will be fine if you stay up past midnight anyway or are a heavy sleeper. I feel bad to leave a negative review, because it's not the hosts' fault, but had I read a review like this before booking I may have chosen a different site.

От менеджера: We are very sorry that your stay was disturbed by these inconsiderate campers. We send out comprehensive information to all of our guests who book with us that clearly states that all campers must respect quiet time from 10pm – 7.00am and unfortunately on this occasion this small group have not respected this rule. We are on call 24/7 and if we are made aware of such behaviour we would speak to the campers directly and if they were not prepared to respect quiet time they would be asked to leave the campsite immediately. Thank you for your feedback as it is important to us - we are just sorry that we could not have resolved this issue during your stay with us.

Понравилось: Very warm welcome from the friendly hosts who were on hand to assist throughout our stay. Large pitches on a very quiet site situated right next to Bolam lake.

Понравилось: We absolutely loved this spot. The site was perfect for us and had all the amenities we needed- toilets were spotlessly clean. It had a real family friendly vibe, our kids loved playing out with the others! It was a real treat to sit with a fire pit and watch the horses and in the morning they were right up at our pitch and let us stroke them. The proximity to the lake was a real winner for us - the walk round was idyllic and the little cafe did great coffee and cake. The real highlight for us were the owners, David and Jill. They were so welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much - even getting us out of our pitch with their tractor (the camping highlight for our kids!).

Понравилось: Quiet of nature. Close to Bolam lake for lovely walks. Horses in the field. David and Jill. Walk to local church. Children free to play that shattered the peace but I was expecting that!

Не понравилось: The price - expensive for what is on offer. Getting stuck and having to be towed out by a tractor.

We are a Wanderlust campsite, located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and designated green belt land so we can offer our guests basic facilities but our site is very clean and we are always on hand to help in any way that we can. It was such a shame that we had heavy rain again during the weekend but we are always on hand to help our guests if weather conditions change. Wishing you many more adventures in your lovely campervan

Понравилось: Truly a lovely experience, Jill and David both welcomed us to the site, the site itself is spotless very very well looked after and also the onsite porta loos. Plenty of space and plenty of spots to choose from. It was the Wife’s and mother in law first time camping and they loved it.
