Ik was blij met: Please try the campsite before you leave a review, this place was a breath of fresh air. If you are having trouble finding the site, just put in the directions that come with the email pitch up provides into Google maps, it will take you straight there. No signage but it is the right place. Loved the following: Campfires People Dogs Size of pitch Environment Would recommend to anyone who wants a real camping experience. But the facilities are all there and you are more than welcome to use what you see. Only problem was we had to leave before saying goodbye properly. Goodbye all

Ik was blij met: We were welcomed by 3 friendly dogs and shown around by Nuno's lovely mum. Although she couldn't speak English and we couldn't speak Portuguese, we were able to understand her hand signals! We were made to feel at home. All of the facilities were spotless. The kitchen had everything you needed. The compost toilet was clean and didn't smell. Showering under the stars was unforgettable. Nuno's girlfriend makes her own natural wash products which were available to use. They were so great, I bought some before leaving. Everything you see is made thoughtfully from reusable materials. 20 min walk into Santa Cruz.

Ik was niet zo blij met: No conseguimos encontrar el camping, la dirección que aparece enlazada no es la del camping Lugar do sol, llamas y te dicen que sigas las indicaciones de una foto de un plano pintado con boli y rotulador, imposible llegar, la gente de la zona tampoco estaba segura de donde estaba el camping

Ik was blij met: Those with tents will appreciate the well appointed kitchen area. The pretty resort of de cruz is a short bike ride away. Check the map on the pitch up web site else you may have trouble finding the place

Ik was blij met: Traumhafter Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Nuno ist ein hilfsbereiter, warmherziger Gastgeber, der uns das Gefühl gegeben hat, nach Hause gekommen zu sein. Tier und menschenfreundliche Oase. Danke, Nuno!

Ik was blij met: El ambiente, las gallinas y patos, los perros, el huerto... dueño muy amable

Ik was niet zo blij met: El baño seco, el hedor que desprendía te daban ganas de vomitar. No se podían hacer las necesidades ahí.

Ik was blij met: Cozy and personal. Not close to the beach but i cycled it in ten mins. The beach however is a lot closer than if you were at the back of a large resort because Santa Cruz is only a small place so everything is walkable, even more accessible on bike. The owner speaks great English which is a big bonus.

Ik was niet zo blij met: No chemical toilet disposal. The hardest place to find. No signs on the gate and they’re always closed so you “will” drive past a number of times! Lol. That said the google map location link is accurate to the gate. Only trouble is my route tried to take me through a commercial green house lol. Use a bit of savvy when finding it.

Ik was blij met: Nada. Más que un camping era una comuna hippy.

Ik was niet zo blij met: Parecía un estercolero. Era muy difícil de encontrar, sin nombre que lo identificara. Estaba situado entre viejos invernaderos. El coche se nos quedó enterrado en la arena nada más llegar.

Van de manager: O Lugar do Sol é diferente de um camping. É um local construído com materiais reciclados e onde se cuida da terra e das pessoas. Talvez não seja para todos, mas aceita todas as opiniões. Grato.

Ik was blij met: Es un camping naturista. Muy buena opción para quien le guste la naturaleza. Muy tranquilo y agradable, con huerto para poder comer productos naturales. El dueño muy agradable, hablaba español y nos entendía muy bien.
