Mi è piaciuto: Proximity to the loch, peaceful and quiet when all the day visitors had left and only a few motorhomes remaining.

Mi è piaciuto: Nice friendly staff and great price. Fantastic location and taking the Sir Walter Scott steam boat to Stronachlacher was fun. The walk back (via the North Loch path) was enjoyable although don't be a fool like me and lug 20kg of camera equipment on your back!!!

Non mi è piaciuto: Not a dislike as such, but would be great if there were a sink/washing up area. Wifi was a bit patchy but I didn't come here to surf the web!!

Sadly the storm and resulting powercut which affected the whole region was outwith our control however we do have water points available throughout the site buth behind a number of charging posts as well as a communal tap on the side of the toilet block. I apologise if this was not made clear to you at the time. We hope to see you again in the future.

Mi è piaciuto: Cheap and great spot. Toilets and showers available. Only a small extra cost for showers. Is a car park essentially but with boat trips close by and lovely walks within a short distance

Non mi è piaciuto: Definitely wouldn’t recommend as solo female traveller. Once the cafe is closed you have no contact with the outside world. Dependent on other company it’s very isolating. I was booked into a MH spot that would’ve been great as was inbetween others staying, but as I guess I was in a smaller van and they might’ve needed the spaces they moved me to a smaller spot which was a bit out of the way. The car park is also open for anyone else to pay at the meter for the night, and the night I was there a van with lots of kids arrived. I was watched by the male occupants who sat in the front of their van drinking as I walked my dogs in the evening and felt very unsafe. I should’ve moved on. I paid for 2 nights but left early the next morning. This being said, it’s a great value spot, lovely views when you walk, and could’ve been a quiet night but just an unfortunate night’s company for me.

This was not brought to our attiention at time, therefore we were unable to address with the other vistors should that have been appropriate. I also note that you have rated our WIFI as a 1 out of 5 however i note from the booking that you had not paid for wifi and that this is maybe why you foudn it hard to connect. Hopefully we do see you again in the future and you can leave with a better expeirnece.

Mi è piaciuto: Fabulous place to stay as you are so close to the beautiful boats on the lakeside. Plenty of room between pitches, well lit and toilet facilities. The staff are very friendly and welcoming- enjoyed our stay.

If you would prefer a pitch with a view then i can highly recommend visitng our Stronachlachar motorhome pitches at the western edge of the loch. those pitches look straight out on to the loch. I also note that you rated our wifi as a 1 out of 5 however i also note that you had not paid for wifi during your stay so can only assume that that is why you found it a poor signal. If you book a fully serviced pitch then you will receive access to our wifi as well as power and water. Thanks again and hope to see you in the future.
