Liked: Friendly staff made to feel very welcome, even remembered us from previous visit, everything you need for enjoyable break with family. Kids and adults made new friends and hopefully going back next year. The facilities are slightly different but it all adds to the relaxing environment that takes you back to just enjoying your stay. Highly recommend!!!

Liked: Friendly staff very welcoming great location
Disliked: Showers could do with a rubber mat gets quite slippery on the wood floor As we were there late in season the grass could of done with a bit of a cut in the morning it was very wet walking to the toilet

From the manager: Thank you for your review Roy. Grass length albeit subjective is never the perfect length for everyone. I guess as your the only one to mention it most people thought it OK. The important thing is grass in the terrible weather we had in August is left at a length to provide great base for camping but not too short that the awful weather turns it into just mud. A good grass length provides irrigation to drain away as much as possible in the downpours we had. Cutting the grass would have simply left people commenting on walking wet grass cuttings into their tent. I would fully recommend wellies for wet camping or in this August case maybe a Yacht ! Bon voyage and look forward to seeing you next year. Regards Stumpy

Liked: Fantastic vibes - a warm and welcome reception upon arrival, country music, food and drink available to buy. We were also given a fantastic recommendation to a lake and walk through the open forest by the gentleman running the camp (not sure of his name!). The site was also in a great location - close to the various towns and villages. Would recommend for an incredible camping experience in the heart of the New Forest.

Liked: Amazing site, in an amazing setting…the “crew” are so hospitable it’s like meeting up with old friends.. it’s camping through and through with the luxury of a decent pizza if you fancy
Disliked: We as a group didn’t dislike anything, it ticked our boxes and some …however… if your expecting automatic doors and a broad sheet news paper at your door in the morning you may wish to read through other campers comments to save you blushing!!

Liked: Everything! Great hosts. Lovely vibe. Showers were nice and hot every time I visited them. Compost toilets can tend to be a bit lively on the nose, but no complaints at all here, kept very clean throughout our stay. Officially the best bacon and egg rolls for breakfast - I graciously concede defeat 😂
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: This campsite is one of the best I have ever been to. The pitches are generous and the facilities are kept very clean. Stumpy and Maria were amazing and work extremely hard to keep campers happy and loved the reception area where you could get breakfast baps, pizzas and hot drinks and more. Family friendly and great location to visit the New forest and the sea
Disliked: Nothing
