Liked: How big the area of the campsite was and how much choice we had to where our tent was put. I also liked how the campsite owner always was around and popping on site to check the facilities and how lovely she was too. Was a very quiet area with absolutely beautiful views on a morning. Wasn’t far from the little village neither and plenty to do in the area.
Disliked: Couldn’t dislike anything about this stay as we really enjoyed the time we spent here.

Liked: The views from the campsite were definitely the best thing.
Disliked: Not the campsites fault but we got unlucky as a lot of groups staying who partied until after 1am. We chose this site as it said no large groups

Liked: Very easy to find, and a very spacious field. The owner made regular rounds ensuring everything was ok and everyone was happy, offering fire pits and burning logs. There were more than enough toilet facilities, as well as what I assume was a faucet. Amazing view at the Ullswater lake, and no light pollution makes it a perfect spot for star gazing.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Just spent 2 nights here on our very first camping trip, me and my 16 year old son who has several disabilities. Communication was excellent prior to the trip and directions to the site were spot on. This is not a full time camp site, it operates on Fri and Sat nights only on a working farm, there are several field taps and porta loos. The owner Sophie is lovely and obviously a very hard working young lady, she checked on us about 3 times each day to see we were OK, they also offer fires and wood if you need them. The location is amazing and the views wonderful and even a pub just down the road. Me and my son loved our stay and will definitely return shortly. Thankyou Sophie for a great stay. The added bonus is Rocket the parrot whom flys about the site landing on the tents etc.

Liked: The view and easy bus link
Disliked: Trucks skidding around at all hours delivering fire pits and firewood. Youngsters turning up late at night playing techno from their cars and their friends all turning up in various cars who clearly weren’t staying at the site. Talking and listening to music till 7 am.

From the manager: Thanks for stopping with us. “Trucks skidding about till late” bit of an exaggeration as there was only me driving around in one pickup dropping off wood an fire pits off it’s not really in my best interests to skid around the field ripping my own grass up also we do encourage anyone who is being disturbed by loud music to inform us so we can sort it out
Beautiful site with clean facilities!

Liked: Amazing views, great toilet facilities (all clean and well maintained), great access to local amenities and tourist locations! Would definitely visit again! :)
Disliked: There were a few noisy groups of guys which stayed up all night drinking and listening to their music which made it very hard to sleep however this was not the Campsites fault!
