Sandy Acres electric grass and sand pitch
Liked: Lovely site, easy access from the road perfect location with Hunstanton, kings lynn a short trip. Supermarkets nearby also. The site it’s self is well set up and never a long walk to any of the facilities, the facilities then selves are exceptional all are well equipped and clean the shower/toilet block is easily the best we’ve used with each “cubical” being its own private toilet, sink and shower and all heated so nice and warm in the colder days and evenings. And access to the on site bar, restaurant/cinema and playground are nice additions for family’s with little ones. We also followed some of the walks that have been mapped out for you that are included on the welcome pack on arrival these are also amazing. The grass EHU pitches are nicely sized and marked out and the electric hookup points are very close. Overall it’s a great site and perfect for family wanting to be near the beach.
Disliked: No real dislikes just be aware of the ground type it’s quite sandy so for those booking he with tents make sure you have decent soft ground or sand pegs as the ones that come with tents aren’t great in this type of ground. This is nothing against the site just the type of ground in the are area.

Pine Views fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (comfort)
Liked: Pinecones is such a lovely site, we highly recommend it and will definitely return. It is a very calm natured, relaxing site. The staff are friendly, the pitches are a great size and level, we had a picnic hut with heating which was perfect - especially on the couple of rainy days we had as we could still enjoy sitting outside. The showers were a great size, nice and hot with plenty of space for getting changed after. There were a couple of nice walks which we did and if you do have a dog (we dont) it is very dog friendly with the dog brewery, recommended walks and the dog wash. The washing up area was inside which is nice (as we had a few rainy days) and was very clean. Bens bar was pure bliss and the food was a lovely touch (They even had breakfast boxes for 4) plus there is a small shop in the reception area - they have clearly thought things through and listened to peoples comments / feedback. If all the above isn't enough there is a playground which the kids loved and the bird / deer viewing hut was a little gem - it was silent, well equipped and we spent some time there enjoying the peace and wildlife (there were a very energetic family of bunnies playing in the sun!)
Disliked: The fact we had to come home! We read reviews before we arrived and there were several comments about the "loud road". I think its important to note that this site is literally off the A149, so in theory the sheer nature of its location means you will hear road noise - however that said it didn't bother us in the slightest and we stayed at the site for over a week ( and were sat outside 90% of the time) so in our opinion we would not discount this site due to road noise as per other peoples reviews.

Sandy Acres electric grass and sand pitch
Liked: Lots of showers and toilets, all clean and high quality. The children's play area was quite big and had enough to keep them entertained. There was a separate dog area for them to play and do their business. Electricity and water supply was reliable. There's a nice walk through the fields close the campsite.
Disliked: The pitches were so small and tightly packed together that issues we'd probably have overlooked instead became unforgivable. We had children from other families playing very close to our tent, tripping over our guy ropes, and kicking balls into our tent. We had drunk teenagers and their parents with loud music, swearing, and generally shouting well past the 9.15pm "quiet time". There were enormous puddles of water. A lot of dogs barking. On multiple occasions, I needed to open the entrance gate for visitors, because there were no staff to help. When we complained, or asked for help, the response from reception was inflexible, curt and unhelpful. They did nothing to deal with any of the above problems. We felt pretty unwelcome the entire trip. The on-site shop was barely open, and had little for sale anyway. The on-site restaurant closed early, and was basically someone throwing cheap food in a deep fat fryer and charging you a fortune. Additionally, it's close to a main road so there's a constant background of car noise. This was a really disappointing campsite, with little to recommend it if you're travelling as a small family.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, we are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. We are pleased that you enjoyed using our facilities and found them clean and of a high standard, we are thrilled that the children enjoyed using our play area. Our pitches on Sandy Acres are 9m x 10metres, giving plenty of room for a tent/caravan and car, unfortunately if you have a large size tent this will obviously leave you less room to relax on. Our security go round twice on an evening to check that everything is in order, they found no problems to be concerned about, we also never received any other complaints from other visitors. We do not open the gates for visitors, they are all given the barrier code upon check-in, if they are visiting yourselves then it is up to yourselves to guide them through the barriers. If you read previous reviews it states that my staff are very friendly and helpful, we like to assist in what ever way we can. Our shop is open until 3pm daily, but over the may bank holiday (Witsen Week) our shop/reception was open until 4pm daily. We stock the necessary item as there is a co op shop only 5 10 minutes walk from the site. Norfolk Nibbles were open from 4.30 - 8.30pm Friday/Saturday evening, and people only say great things about their food, it is cooked fresh upon ordering. Unfortunately we cannot please everyone, but it appears that most of our visitors ( and we was full for the weekend) enjoyed their stay with us.
