Liked: We had a great one night stay here last night (1st June). We arrived at about 5pm to be promptly instructed on where we could pitch up. We chose the furthest field as it was the quietest, but each area looked lovely. I loved that it wasn't just one huge field as it made it feel nice and cosy. Pitching area was great and even in the furthest field it was only a very short walk to the toilets etc. My ten year old felt perfectly safe wandering to them by herself. Can't comment on the washing up area as we didn't cook, and my daughter disposed of our rubbish, but the toilet/shower area was fine: toilet roll, handwash, hot water, and even a hairdryer in the ladies- a lovely addition. Fantastic location and price. Would 100% book again.
Disliked: Could do with paper towels in toilet to dry hands. Not the fault of the owners but there were a group of lads being extremely loud and kicking a ball around after 10pm. So if you're them, or like them...please be more considerate of other people next time.

Liked: Generous sized pitches
Disliked: We booked and paid several pitches for Friday/Saturday night between us but offered to squeeze up across 3 pitches so we could camp together as we traveled as a group of friends to go hiking over the weekend. A few of us left a day early and didn't camp the Saturday night and despite us still having paid for 2 nights as soon as the tents were packed down we had 2 campervans pitch up right next to our remaining tents. The showers have plenty of hot water but are outdated. Given the amount of people on the campsite over the weekend 2 showers/2 toilets per gender isn't enough. It seems the campsite must've been overbooked for this weekend.

Liked: It's a great location for the west if the lakes, not far from crummock, buttermere and if you need a town then Cockermouth. Friendly site and generally people seem to follow the rules and it's quiet around 10pm. Showers/toilets and plug sockets in toilet (always a bonus). Good Internet on site. (Not wifi)
Disliked: No dog walking fields nearby really (can't be helped though)
