Liked: We stayed for one night as a rest stop, but what a place. We wished we had booked for longer. The owners were very welcoming, even though, we were quite late due to traffic. Beautiful surroundings, Poppy loved the woodland walk and we all loved the relaxed feel to the place. Really quiet and the site has everything you need. Lovely eco-friendly site. We will be back!
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Very welcoming hosts, well maintained and spotlessly clean facilities, environmentally friendly, quiet campsite We stayed in the bell tent which was so well equipped we needn’t have taken 3/4 of the stuff we did. The welcome pack was brilliant and full of snacks etc
Disliked: Nothing the place was grest

Liked: Absolutely everything! Loved the site, it's calm and peaceful and beautifully situated. Mikaela and Mark have paid such attention to detail, love that my favourite shower gel is in the showers! The showers are described as 'outdoor' but this doesn't do them justice as they are HOT outdoor showers! There is a lovely washing up area and seating area. Each pitch has it's own bench, little table and fire pit. Wood available at reasonable rates, again it's that little extra, with eco friendly firelighters included. We enjoyed walking round the lake with the dogs. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. My wife made a suggestion about putting a hook on the outside of the loos for dog leads (two in the loos is a bit of a squash!) and it was completed that afternoon! We will/would definitely return
Disliked: We don't live close enough to pop down for a visit more often

Liked: As a new to camping family we were looking for a quiet site with plenty of space, South Hoggs is only 30mins from us and looked just what we were looking for! Essy to find but hidden away, we had a lovely welcome on arrival. The pitches are well spaced out within a back to nature field, just what we wanted. The toilet and washing up facilities are as good as you'll get, the eldest daughter (6) insisted I had a tour of the facilities they were so good....(after they abandoned me to pitch the tent on my own) It was our first time in our new tent, once we wrestled the thing up, the site was so quiet and relaxed we all felt at home and went for an explore, the woodland walk and pond area is lovely too! If you want a back to nature site with some home comforts, good loos and hot washing up, you won't go wrong coming here, we'll be back, the family wanted to come again the weekend after.... Oh, the dawn chorus was amazing too!

Liked: 10/10 campsite, nice large pitches, fire pits and seating on each pitch, beautiful location and wonderfully quiet. Nice little communal washing up area, hot showers and clean toilets. We couldn’t have asked for more, owners were lovely and greeted us on arrival and then left us to it for the remainder of the stay! Bonus we ended up with the whole site to ourselves for nearly the whole weekend, would definitely return.
