Liked: Great location Really good (new) toilet and shower block. Wood pitches ver large and spread out.
Disliked: Close to the road but not much traffic and certainly didn't disturb sleep or anything. Very minor issue.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: We go camping a lot at various sites in the UK and this campsite was the best we stayed at so far. Absolutely fantastic in every way! It was peaceful and quiet even though the campsite was full. The facilities were clean and close by (0.5 minute walk), tap with drinking water and a hose right behind our pitch (very handy for hosing down the dogs after they had a swim in the sea), the site well maintained, pitches not too big but the size was perfect for what we needed. There's a pub down the road but very pricey so we ended up ordering a pizza from a pizza van at the campsite (which was lovely by the way!). We loved the location - lots of hikes available directly from the campsite which both dogs and their humans loved. Fordingbridge is 5-10 minutes drive away and has plenty of shops, cafes, pubs, and a lovely walk by the river. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them, they accommodated all our requests and last-minute changes without any problems. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Liked: Generous pitch sizes, well marked out. We stayed in the lower part of the field (W10) which was more private and closer to toilets and shower area. Friendly and welcoming on arrival. Well maintained and owners regularly checking everything was ok. Provided us with rubbish/recycling bags on arrival. Local pub close by, expensive but amazing food. 10 minutes drive into the village with shops for groceries. Lovely views and sunset over the fields. Quiet after 10.30pm and could hear the owls. Fridge and freezer for general use came in very handy. Plenty of taps near each pitch. Never had to wait for showers or toilets. Firepit and wood available for hire. Saved us taking ours.
Disliked: Not a dislike but difficult to get into a few spots in the ground. Bent a few tent pegs but not a problem.

Non-electric grass tent, campervan or trailer tent pitch
Liked: I have never stayed at a campsite with such spotlessly clean shower & toilet facilities. So many little extra touches, like a bowl with shampoo & shower gels people may have left behind or not needed any more left by the shower block; lovely scented bottles of soap in all of the toilets; washing up liquid at all the sinks etc. Bbq's; firepits; wood, even firelighters & matches all on site at amazingly good value prices to add to the ambience of camp living. The staff could not have been more helpful; Jonny in particular. They even let you charge your phones at the reception barn!!!! The mobile traditional pizza oven & ice cream van that visited the site were a wonderful surprise, we used both & my boys (aged 11 & 13) loved both. Such friendly people staying there too, everyone around the site chatted with us or helped us in little ways throughout our stay. Absolutely stunning location, you are surrounded by roaming horses at every gate/hedge you look over & the sunsets are to remember forever. We have already said we will definitely be back & for longer next year!!!!!!!
