Electric hardstanding and grass campervan pitch (no awning, small)

Liked: The location, the spotless facilities, the ease of booking and arrival. A really lovely peaceful site, with gorgeous cows for neighbours and near lots of great walks.

Disliked: Campervan pitches were a little close together if you like to feel like you're on your own.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (large, twin axle)

Liked: The site was well kept, clean and tidy. The facilities were clean and well kept with a kitchen complete with kettle, microwave and washing machine. There was also a lounge/dinner/recreation room with some games etc. The dog walk was fully enclosed and well looked after with plenty of bins.

Disliked: Some road noise.

Liked: Everything about Farditch Farm is just perfect! Pitches are perfect and the facilities available are spotless second to none! The staff are very friendly, helpful and very hospitable! The location is just perfect and we will most certainly visit again, which says it all. Lovely pub within walking distance in the local village with an outstanding menu and food. Very many thanks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (large, twin axle)

Liked: Our first time here, and we will definitely be back! Great site with excellent facilities. The kitchen was brilliant, especially the washing up area and tea, coffee etc. The washrooms were really clean and the "proper" shower was great. The dog walking field is also a real benefit as its fully secure. Pitch was a fantastic size which was communicated when we made our initial booking. The Church Inn in the local village does great food and beer. Highpeak bookshop and cafe is a must for bookworms and is dog friendly! The site is in a great spot for exploring this beautiful area!!

Disliked: Nothing!

Electric hardstanding and grass campervan pitch (no awning, small)

Liked: We loved the facilities (the best we've seen yet!) at Farditch and the fact that it wasn't a huge site. The location is beautiful and the local pub serves delicious food.

Disliked: It would be great if there was a little shop onside as there isn't a shop nearby.

Local attractions

With Chelmorton in the midst of the Peak District National Park, there are heaps of outdoorsy activities within easy reach. Walkers and cyclists have miles of trails to pick from; popular favourites nearby include the Tissington and Monsal trails. Horse riding, canoeing and climbing excursions are also available around the park. And might you fancy pottering around the country’s fave country house? Then it’s off to Chatsworth, 20 minutes from the site – the Italianate stately home has been voted to the top of the polls several times for its fab collection of art, its stunning state rooms and its gorgeous gardens. There’s also a farmyard and playground here for the amusement of smaller visitors. Plan to spend a bit of time in both the local towns of Buxton and Bakewell – the former for its grand opera house and elegant spa town heritage, the latter for poking about in the market and sampling its famed sweet treats (which is better – the tart or the pudding? Well, there’s only one way to settle that debate…)
