A aimé : Very spacious pitches, easy access to the site once off the main road, ablutions very clean & accessible especially for people with disabilities. Very quiet & relaxing. Kate, the lady who contacted me before I arrived was very helpful & was there to meet us on arrival. The pitch number & barrier code was text to me the day before our journey, so no messing around selecting a pitch on arrival.

N'a pas aimé: The turning to the sight is off a very busy roundabout, I bigger & more clear sign to the site would be a great advantage.

A aimé : Now visited about 5 times well laid out site nice farming family

N'a pas aimé: Arrived Friday stay until Monday mid May quite shocked to see it so empty Grass hasn’t been cut for many weeks and is soaking wet , very disappointing we didn’t put up our canopy as long grass takes a long time to dry still soaking when we left , we won’t be going back

We appreciate the grass was longer than we would have liked when you were on site but can assure you it has not been many weeks since it was cut. It was cut again on the day after you left. With the current weather we have been having, the grass is growing very quickly and we have not been able to cut it as often as we would like to. Awnings are requested to be on the hardstanding and not the grass.

A aimé : This site is very easy to get to, turning off the A64 and right at the next roundabout. After passing through the security barrier at the entrance, you travel approximately half a mile up the driveway where you'll find the reception hut and a lovely lady warden who is a ray of sunshine and clearly loves her job. The pitches are arranged in a fan like pattern around the amenities block which is very clean and contains individual shower rooms complete with toilet and basin, a washing up area and a laundry room. We visited on a very warm May weekend but visitors in cooler months should know that the block is unheated. Amazingly, even though 2 main roads are close by you can barely hear any traffic due to the site being surrounded by mature trees. Indeed,the noisiest thing you'll hear is the crows coming home to roost. Phone signal is very good as is tv signal. Satellite dish users will enjoy a clear view of the sky. For a day out in York the site is well placed for the Monks cross park and ride or a discounted cab using Streamline who are very good. There is also a Toby Grill within walking distance.

A aimé : Great site, very quiet with a small children’s play area which looked good. The pitch was a great size, hard handing with electric and water, with a good sized grassy bit in between. The toilet block was in the middle with each unit having a loo/sink/shower and mirror above the sink. Very clean, we arrived late so had instructions on how to get through the barrier, no curfew so we could come and go from spending time in York in the evenings. The site was well lit. Would highly recommend and will happily book again if travelling in the area.

N'a pas aimé: This is being very very very pernickety - the lights that lit up each pitch were quite bright. Our camper doesn’t have blinds/curtains, but if you do you will be fine. :)

A aimé : Good size and very well spaced pitches. Well placed site for exploring York via the close by park and ride. There is no site wifi but it did have brilliant EE 5g reception so no problem.

N'a pas aimé: Toilets/shower block is not heated which was fine when we visited as it was fairly warm but a few weeks earlier, it would have been chilly.
