Liked: Brilliant holiday park. The facilities were great, enough to do when the weather wasn't great. The swimming pool was lovely. We pitched 2 tents together with friends and had enough room to have space together in the middle. Other campers were respectful of the rules which isn't always the case at larger sites. Showers were warm and clean. The restaurant/bar was welcoming and family friendly. The kids loved the play park.
Disliked: The only complaint I have is the hand dryers! Our pitch was below the toilets and the hand dryers were so noisy at night! It would be great if they could be turned off at quiet time or even if the door/windows were kept closed at night. Be aware there are some steep hills to walk up! Great exercise though! If it rains your pitch may get very muddy, nothing could be done so not a complaint just the drainage when you're pitched on the bank isn't amazing.

Wouldn't book again as all pitches on a slope.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked: Location and shop on site
Disliked: Pitches are all on a slope making it very difficult to sleep as constantly rolling off the beds. Site was overcrowded and there was nowhere around the tents for children to play. Everyone was on top of each other. Not a good park for someone with physical disabilities.

Liked: Very clean site well laid out
Disliked: Unfortunately we had some extremely noisy neighbours whom I had to tell to keep quite at 1 am in the morning this happened on both nights of our stay. you need some kind of warden that can be called upon.

Liked: Location, level pitches, availability.
Disliked: Club..awful beer, 1 staff member had an overwhelming.ing smell of stale cigarettes. Club let down by poor chemical taste in beer. Additional charge £3.50 / person to use pool ...4 people x £3.50 / visit + £38 for pitch = £52 per day !

Liked: Everything, The friendly welcome, pitch close to all amenities, fully stocked shop, enjoyed the meal in the bar, didn't stay for bingo 😜.Great having a bus stop right outside the site, which we used to visit the local towns & beaches. All information about the local area readily available in the reception. At Newlands there is something for everyone... couples, parents with children, Grandparents, single people, animal lovers ( mainly dogs ), swimmers, walkers, sun worshipers, nature lovers. Best of all if you only stay one night or many you leave relaxed & 😊 happy, and looking forward to next time.
Disliked: Only one thing, the washing up area is like standing in a wind tunnel!!!!!

From the manager: Hi Grace, Many thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you got to experience our local area that we are so lucky to live in. One upside of the washing up area being in a windy area is that the dishes will dry nice and quickly! Best wishes, Newlands Holidays
