Liked: Very clean toilets and shower blocks. Being a solo female I felt very safe on the site. Close to lots of amenities and beaches. All employees were extremely polite and smiley.

Disliked: Being solo with a dog it was difficult to shower when your dog was not allowed in. Perhaps having some showers where dogs are allowed would be very helpful.

Liked: We loved this site, we had a huge pitch in a quiet part of the Stable Field, which we really enjoyed. We brought our two puppies so the space was great for us. The shop was a nice treat to have a look around, we bought a lovely Dorset souvenir. All the staff we met we polite and friendly, we will definately be back for a longer stay.

Disliked: There wasn't anything that we disliked, the only small niggle would be the internet wasn't great but we coped.

Liked: The whole site was immaculate, the food sold in the restaurant was amazing! They sell proper cocktails too! The fresh bread and croissants in the shop were phenomenal.

Disliked: The pitch was on a slant made us rather uncomfortable all weekend. There was flatter pitches so would go again!

Local attractions

Can’t keep your eyes off the sea views? Pick up the South West Coast Path at the bottom end of the park, or head for favourite spots along the Jurassic Coast like West Bay (half an hour’s drive) and Lulworth Cove (35 minutes). The Isle of Portland (15 minutes) is also a great place for a walk, and it’s also got lots of watersports including windsurfing, coasteering and scuba diving. Weymouth (10 minutes) is another perennial favourite for its lovely sandy beach and attractions like the Sea Life Centre and Pirate Adventure Golf. You can also get to the town on two wheels by picking up the Weymouth Trail cycle route from the bridleway by the site (or follow the full nine-mile trail up into the hills…) Other options for days out nearby include Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens (15 minutes), Vurlands Animal Farm (20 minutes) or an arty afternoon at Sculpture By The Lakes (half an hour).

Booking terms and conditions

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 14 day(s) of arrival.

Vehicles

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.

Occupancy

Group bookings of 3 or more units (e.g. tent, caravan, motorhome or accommodation hire) travelling together are not permitted via Pitchup.com.
Group bookings of 6 or more adults are not permitted (couples and immediate family members excepted).

Dogs

Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.

Changes to your holiday

Modifications are subject to a £12.00 ($25.38) fee.

No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

Vehicles

Only one car is to be parked by the pitch. Extra vehicles must be parked in the designated area.

Safety

Open fires are prohibited.

General

Quiet hours must be respected between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m..
Radio, music and TV players must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.

Reception

Reception is unmanned after 5 p.m.. Please inform the campground while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time so that the team can provide information about your unit/site.

Occupancy

Single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

Dogs

The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dog Act (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro).

General

The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
