Paddock electric hardstanding touring pitch (large)
Liked: Everything was amazing. The view, the sheep, the chickens, the facilities, the service. Only stayed one night but will definitely be back. A small campsite run by a lovely couple who are building something truly special. Being selfish, I’d like to keep it a secret but this couple deserve every success for what they are creating here.

Orchard electric grass tent pitch (large, five person)
Liked: This is such a beautiful campsite with amazing views and a decent walk down to the lake. You’re surrounded by wildlife and mountains. The owners were so attentive and friendly and all the facilities were spotless and really well maintained. Each pitch comes with a fire pit too which was so fun to use. You’re also just a short drive from towns like Cockermouth and Keswick for things to do during the day. Amazing value for money!
Disliked: The only issue was that the soil under the grass was very rocky around our pitch which made getting pegs into the ground quite difficult

From the manager: Thanks for the review and feedback on your experience. If you are struggling with your pegs not being strong enough, we do sell tough pegs, which are great for Lakeland ground conditions. Thanks for the review scores.

Paddock electric grass tent or campervan pitch (large)
Liked: Just got home from 2 nights at Irton House Farm, the pictures don't it justice. Fell in love with the views the from the moment we set foot on site. Such amazing views of the mountain and lakes. Was greeted on arrival and showed to our pitch, very friendly and welcoming family. Facilities were very clean, with great hot showers. We really enjoyed the farm setting, our pitch was next to the sheep, which we loved. Going on a walk through the sheep filled fields was fun and even got to watch the sheep shearing on the farm. Site is the perfect size. Overall a quiet, very peaceful and beautiful place. Will definitely be back.

Liked: Another great holiday at this wonderful small site. Keep returning as it is a quiet rural site and the views are amazing. Pitches are a great size with plenty of room. Toilet and shower facilities are always spot on…lovely hot showers and toilet/ showers are always kept very clean and tidy.
Disliked: Can’t be helped but we love peace and quiet which can’t be guaranteed as you never know who you are going to be pitched beside.

Paddock electric grass tent or campervan pitch (large)
Liked: This campsite is fantastic. We had a lovely welcome from the young lady at the farmhouse. She showed us everything we needed for our stay. The views from the paddock were fabulous, despite being mostly cloudy days the lake was still visible in the valley. The resident sheep, chickens and rabbits around us were lovely to watch. Pitches are nicely spaced and we even had the campsite to ourselves the first night! The showers were great, powerful, super hot and beautifully clean. It is obvious the owners have put effort into the site and the high praise in reviews is well deserved. We will definitely be back in the future.
Disliked: Nothing at all. Would highly recommend a trip here to anyone!
