Sandwich Lakes

Syntes om: What a beautiful site. So peaceful. Only about 25 pitches so not busy at all, especially as it wasn't full. I went with my 11 year old granddaughter for 2 nights. We enjoyed walks with the dog around the lakes and breakfast and afternoon cream tea at the cafe. The cafe staff were so lovely. The food was excellent and well priced. And the views wonderful. For afternoon tea we sat up the bank behind the cafe overlooking the lake. I can imagine this is even more amazing on a sunny day. The showers and toilets were very modern and well kept. I read previous reviews about how they weren't cleaned in 3 days. I beg to differ and would blame the campers for making them unclean. The ground outside was muddy and wet. As soon as we walked in we made it filthy. I reported this immediately offering to go back and clean up. On next visit to use them I found a bucket and mop so we cleaned up after ourselves each time the rest of our stay. Shame other people don't feel inclined to do the same. It is impossible for the staff to keep them sparkling at this time of year. They would have to have a full time attendant. If you are taking dogs or children, there is a field full of horses. There are chickens which i guess provide the lovely eggs and a great play area too. There is also an area where dogs can safely run off lead. What more could you want for a few nights away. We can't wait to return.

Syntes om: Visited for the 1st time for 5 days, pitches were a good size,the shower and toilet block were the cleanest I've ever seen and very we'll presented the café food was very good also dog exercise area was nice and large, you could walk all round the site all round the fishing ponds looking at all the wildlife this was probably the best break we've had for a while very quiet and peaceful and friendly, would definitely recommend to others and use again 5 star's without a doubt

Syntes om: Ideal base for the Thanet coast . Excellent facilities including hot showers , great toilet block which was spotless and regularly cleaned. Onsite restaurant was really good selling quality food . Staff were really friendly and helpful

Syntes om: Lovely site, with loads of lovely dog walks and lakes. We didn't eat at the cafe but it looked lovely, we did get a takeaway coffee for our walk with was nice 😀

Syntes ikke om: A dirty sanitary pad on the floor of the toilet, this was down to a dirty human rather than fault of the site! But maybe more frequent checks of the toilet could eliminate this.
