Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: The pitches by the river were lovely - it was nice to have the river to look out at and wake up to (just make sure to pitch the tent with the back to the caravans that are on the other side of the road!). The facilities (washing up area, toilets and shower block) were also really good (probably the best of any camp site I've stayed in). Staff were also friendly.
Disliked: It was hard to find - it's not clear that it's in the hotel grounds (which is the design you see from the road). Also when you get there it's also not clear which way to go (it's a big site). Some additional signage would really help. (For example, it wasn't clear that you checked in at the hotel reception). Additionally, the pitch identifiers were on the grass and a bit hard to see. Although these were minor issues and didn't really detract from a lovely stay.

Liked: Very friendly. Gorgeous park, Manor House and river. Lots of space. Quiet at night. Woke up to bird song and sound of river! Lovely walks. Only a mile and a half to Newport, which is a very pretty town. Good prices at bar. Log fires. Facilities spotless. Our second time! We will return!
Disliked: The only thing to add would be a motorhome service area to drop and pick up water easily, but this is a minor issue when compared with everything else.

Liked: Surroundings, riverside, spotlessly clean toilet and shower block albeit not heated. The Manor house has facilities to bring dogs into the building with a room set aside and the meals were good value.
Disliked: Slightly too many speed humps and the chemical toilet waste was overflowing and very unpleasant.

Liked: Only tourer on site, but understandable for October. Spotless toilet block. Bar on site was good value for money and tasty. Average size pitches.
Disliked: Slightly sloping pitches

Liked: Beautiful Riverside setting, clean tidy facilities. Well equipped DISABLED shower room, lots of room to move around the wheelchair and secure shower chair. Great pub etc on site but if you stay around the tent area you could almost be away from it all. Do have a microwave and fridge available in the kitchen area for those wanting to heat up a ready meal etc Lots of fab beaches, walks and pubs in local area. Really friendly staff.
Disliked: If I'm being picky the pitches are very close together but luckily we had great neighbours so not an issue for us this time

Liked: This site is just so lovely. I would happily retire there. We have been going for around 5 years now and overall it’s been fantastic. Weather was a little rough this week but the site did not disappoint. We also ate in the manner and overall pricing is fair and good was great. Honestly I would be shocked if anyone had anything bad to ever say about this place.
