Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Very good site we are a mature couple and were very pleased with everything the staff were pleasant and very helpful. the views were all sea-view. The camp was very clean and so were the Toilet blocks everyone was so nice. The road up to the site is a little tight in places but we got use to it and had no problems, and with Aberystwyth and New Quay, Aberaeron , Borth, and many others close by. It was a wonderful place to stay, Thank you everyone. Alan /Joan

Kestrel fully-serviced grass campervan pitch

Liked: Amazing views over the sea, nice east beach access, well maintained site and friendly reception team.

Disliked: No control over kids playing ball games into the evening. Had balls banging on van. Had to find the parents and ask them to stop myself.

From the manager: Thank you Felicity for leaving your review for your recent stay with us. We are so please that you enjoyed the fantastic views we have from the pitches, our park staff and the facilites which we keep tip top. It is most unfortunate that you did not find the duty wardens or to ring the office number which is answered pretty much 24hrs a day for emergencies and major disruptions. We would have come to speak to the families in question for you, we do not routinely watch closely what families are doing but will act if we are informed or if we notice something untowards whilst going about our daily duties so were unaware of any issue you were having, as we also did not hear from anyone else on the touring field having issues. We tend to attract a lot of families to the park to enjoy the open areas, close proximity to the sea, the outdoor pool and that peace and quiet we usually get, out of main holiday and weekends there is such a calm over the whole park.

The facilities were excellent, amazing views of the sunset. The pool was…

Sunset Strip 2 bedroom static caravan (pet friendly)

Liked: Everything. The sea views, the cleanliness of the caravan. It’s quiet but there is still things to do. A perfect stay.

Disliked: Having to come home!

From the manager: Thank you for leaving your review for your recent stay with us in our hire fleet caravans. There is always something new to do everytime you get here, if not just sitting watching the sea and relaxing on the decking, there are roadtrips and walks from the park which take you a short distance or a little further for an amazing day out. Look forward to seeing you again.

Definitely recommend

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: We stopped in a motorhome pitch at the top of the site, the position, flat, gravelled with electric, water and hedging between the pitches and lpwas fabulous, sunsets to die for!! Friendly and very helpful staff, polite and courteous. Shower block immaculate, hot water, clean floors. There is a little shop carrying emergency essentials - a burger without bacon but phew!!, they have bacon!! Great site overall, with walks along the cliff edge and steps down to the beach.

Disliked: Missed the Northern lights because we went to bed.. 🤣🤣🤣

Route directions

When coming from the Midlands stay on the A44 all the way into Aberystwyth. Ignore the satnav trying to direct you through Devil's Bridge (narrow lanes). When travelling from Aberystwyth, follow A487 direction Towing. In a large vehicle, ignore the satnav until you drive through the village of Blaenplwyf then take the well-signposted lane to the park. Light vehicles can use the first turning.

Local attractions

The Wales Coast Path runs through the park and is easily accessible via kissing gates. The path runs for a whopping 870 miles from Chepstow in the south to Queensferry in the north: potter the few miles to Aberystwyth and then – for the energetic – hike further for 10 miles on the linked Ceredigion Coast Path to its finishing point at Ynyslas. Aberystwyth, 15 minutes' drive away, has stacks to do in and out of peak season, including a harbour to wander around, the National Library of Wales and the Aberystwyth Arts Centre for indoor days, and a buzzing nightlife with pubs, gigs and eateries aplenty. The same distance in the other direction will land you at Llanrhystud, a popular spot in summer for beaches, watersports and fishing. Nature spotting and birdwatching are easily accessed in the area too, either under your own steam or via a dolphin and seal safari trip around Cardigan Bay. Ensure your marine mammal sightings – recommended if you possess fractious offspring – with a trip to the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre at New Quay; boat trips can be booked from here too.
