A holiday that’s just you, your other half and no kids? Camping, glamping and caravan breaks can all be excellent options for a romantic break: all that fresh air, cuddling up by a campfire, drifting off under the stars…

Lots of campsites and glampsites are suitable for such cosy couples’ breaks, but the best way to ensure a bit of peace for your holiday is to book a site that caters for adults only. Pitchup’s filter list includes a tick-box for ‘adults only’, so by selecting this you’ll be able to search for suitable sites in your choice of destination.

Intrigued by what you might find on an adults-only campsite? Read on to see 10 of the best UK campsites for a couple’s holiday.

Some people love the camaraderie of working together with their other half to pitch a tent and cook their dinner over an open fire; others would rather spend their time in the full-on luxury of a glamping tent with a hot tub outside. We’ve got the whole lot covered in the listings at Pitchup, and we’ve picked a few of our favourites here to whet your appetite…

Wuthering Heights Inn

Main Street, Stanbury

That means you can finish your days chatting away over a couple of drinks and then simply stroll back to your peaceful digs a few minutes away – either a cosy shepherd’s hut or a simple grass pitch, depending on your preference.

One last thing… The pub is, of course, named after one of the great romantic novels of all time, so there’s no better place to read it – or recreate the scenes with hikes across the wild moors.
