Grab yourself a bit of the Lake Garda experience and see why the Italians love it so much. In the province of Brescia, surrounded by woody hills, Lake Garda is a true gem. The Romans saw off invading German tribes here; centuries later, it was where Napoleon defeated the Austrians. No-one fights over Garda these days though – there's room enough for everyone to enjoy its clear blue waters and wild views. There are plentiful views of the lake from Camping Porto, a spacious, family-friendly site with groves of trees providing shade. You could (like many a wealthy Roman) just set up there and not move; there's a bar, restaurant and pizzeria on the site, plus a pool and kids' playground. The proprietors, however, are happy to help those who want to experience all the area has to offer; you can arrange bike hire, horse riding, paragliding and kayaking from the site. It's two minutes' walk to Porto beach; along the strip lake-goers can hire boats and diving expeditions, while the many beachfront bars and restaurants cater to those who prefer to sit, sip a spritzer and watch the sunset on the water. It's a 15-minute walk or five-minute drive into the town of Moniga del Garda, with plentiful shops and a go-karting centre.

Em va agradar: Great location. Right next to the beach, with bar and restaurants within in meters. No frills, but everything you need. Only have 12 pitches but they take bookings for one night, which is unusual for the area. Super friendly and helpful staff.

No em va agradar: Facilities are not luxurious, but adequate. Be careful with the Sat Nav. Don’t take the route through the old town as the streets are too narrow for caravans. The owner had to come out in their car and guide us to the site after the Sat Nav took the ‘shortcut’.

Em va agradar: Nice location next to lake.

No em va agradar: Extremely loud music played until past midnight by the campsite in their “restaurant” which at 10pm becomes a teenage night club. Noisy under age drinkers remain until the early hours on the public beach next to your tent. Not suitable for tents. Tiny compact site. Not child friendly.

Del gerent: Hello from Camping Porto. Thanks for the review but we do not find your review correct, since the mistake came from your side. We tried in all the ways we could to find a solution. We even offered you a lake view pitch when you booked a standard (so the prices were different) without even making you pay the price difference. Usually reviews are made to talk about the real experiences in the camping.

Em va agradar: The client service was so nice, girls are doing great job to make everyone feel welcome. Beautiful lakeside location with a beach bar.

No em va agradar: Pool is nice but always empty I guess it’s because of the rules. Caps are mandatory and you need to pay for a sun beds, if you don’t you can’t even set up a towel by the pool.

Em va agradar: Loved the pitch right on the shore of lake Garda, staff friendly albeit a bit stern if you didn't use your access keys correctly, great food and bar, weather and views amazing, very clean facilities , didn't venture upto the pool, very busy weekend so struggled to eat at restaurants but went on the Monday and it was lovely, be prepared to squat on the toilets that was an experience but overall a very nice site would definitely come back

No em va agradar: Didn't have any motorhome facilities like drainage was told to use the toilets to empty chemical toilet wasn't too much of an issue I guess but still, and make sure you stock up on ant killer

Em va agradar: Great view from our pitch. Clean facilities Pitches were a good size and electricity points were easy to access. Received a warm welcome by friendly staff.

No em va agradar: You have to wear a swimming hat in the pool! It is no fault of the campsite but come prepared with mosquito repellant!!

Em va agradar: Great location right by the beach. Friendly staff at the reception and the bar next door. Paddle boarding, swimming, sunbathing, clean facilities and even a pool. Great stay!

No em va agradar: We booked a grass pitch and we’re given a space that was just dirt so the floor was very hard, it was difficult to get the tent pegs in and when it rained the ground got very muddy. Also be warned the office shuts between 12:30-15:30 so don’t arrive between then or no one will be there to greet you (this happened to us and then I got told off for waiting in the car outside reception by the guy that owns the place (not friendly!)

Em va agradar: The location was absolutely amazing. Lake Garda was just a few steps from our pitch. The beach was a beautiful place to hang out and the water was a perfect way to cool down before heading out to one of the many great restaurants nearby.

Em va agradar: Fabulously positioned lake front pitches. Directly onto pebble beach. Spacious pitches. Only 10 lake front pitches. Rest of site is Italian holiday homea. No British which was great! Predominantly Italians. Site felt very secure with a gated entrance. Wrist bands permitting scanned access through barrier. Vibrant beach cafe/ restaurant at entrance with great music playing all day. Occasional live music nights. Toilets, showers and washing up area immaculately clean and not busy. Beach pebbly so swim shoes needed to enter water. Shallow, cordoned off safe area for swimming. Handy for Italmark, Aldi and Lidl. Restaurants close by. Flat, lakeside party great for cycling and walking.

No em va agradar: Moniga ferry limits accessibility to rest of lake as only one direction to Garda. No return unless via Peschiera and then Sirmione. Makes it quite expensive. Only get lake view from pitch of you stand up!!

Llocs d'interès

Walkers can walk round the whole lake if they wish (and have long enough holidays). For a gentler intro, drive 15 minutes to Pieve Vecchia and explore the Rocca di Manerba. This finger of land that once hosted a temple to the Roman goddess Minerva is a walkers' wonderland of evergreen forests and orchid fields interspersed with ancient ruins and ample spots for an undisturbed dip in the lake. For boat rides, you can't beat the 15-minute trip to Isola del Garda; a little islet topped off by a fine villa that's open for visits in summer. Surrounding it, as well as traces of the holy men and foreign armies who stopped off here there's a cool wetland park of pines and oaks to wander through; perfect on long hot Garda afternoons. If you're up for something more energetic, the waterpark at Canevaworld (in Fossalta, 40 minutes) has all manner of flumes and chutes and river rides, as well as a pool for the more traditional swimming up and down. You don't have to neglect your cultural and historical sides either; Verona (50 minutes) has a Roman amphitheatre in the town centre along with art galleries, bridges and churches to sigh over and, this being the setting for Romeo and Juliet, many spots for being romantic in. The canals and palazzos of Venice are doable in a day as well (an hour and 50 minutes).

Admissió

Els menors de 18 anys han d'estar acompanyats pels pares o tutors legals.
Només podreu entrar al càmping després de registrar-vos a recepció.
Qualsevol persona que passi la nit al càmping haurà de presentar el document d'identitat a recepció i completar els tràmits necessaris.

Allotjament llogat

Allotjament llogat: en arribar al càmping, haureu de pagar una fiança de 300,00 € per danys/neteja/polsera que us reembossaran quan marxeu del càmping si, després d'inspeccionar-la, es determina que la unitat no ha sofert danys ni pèrdues durant la vostra estada.

Arribades i sortides

Les arribades tardanes s'han de notificar al càmping al més aviat possible. La vostra reserva queda garantida durant 24 hores. Un cop passat aquest temps, la direcció es reserva el dret de rellogar la vostra unitat.
Les parcel·les o els allotjaments s'assignaran en arribar al càmping.
No s'ofereixen reembossaments/descomptes per les inclemències metereològiques, les arribades tardanes ni les sortides anticipades.

General

A la tarda s'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 13:30 i les 15:30.
El bar (i/o el restaurant) està obert del 16/04 al 09/10.
En cas que tingueu alguna queixa, parleu amb recepció de seguida. Aquelles queixes que no hagueu presentat a l'administració durant la vostra estada no es podran resoldre un cop hagueu marxat del càmping.
La direcció es reserva el dret de refusar l'accés o posar fi a l'estada d'aquells hostes que presentin un comportament inapropiat. En tal cas, no s'oferirà cap reembossament.
Les ràdios, els reproductors de música i els televisors s'han de mantenir a baix volum. Les portes i els maleters dels vehicles s'han de tancar amb cura.
S'ha de respectar el silenci absolut entre les 23:30 i les 7:00.

Gossos

Cal que presenteu la cartilla de vacunes actualitzada del vostre gos.
Els gossos han d'estar fermats i vigilats en tot moment.
El vostre gos ha d'estar identificat o ha de portar microxip.
Només s'admeten gossos que pesin fins a 20kg.

Modificacions de la reserva

No és possible modificar les reserves en un període de 60 dies abans de l'arribada.

Parcel·les

Cal que seguiu les instruccions de la direcció en muntar la vostra tenda de campanya/unitat i l'equipament relacionat.

Piscina

És obligatori portar casquet de bany per fer ús d'algunes instal·lacions.
L'accés a la piscina està reservat als hostes del càmping.
La piscina exterior està oberta del 01/06 al 29/09 (segons les condicions meteorològiques).

Recepció

No hi ha ningú a recepció després de les 18:00. Si creieu que arribareu més tard, aviseu el càmping per tal que l'equip us pugui proporcionar la informació necessària sobre la vostra unitat/parcel·la.

Seguretat

Està permès banyar-se al llac.
Està prohibit fer fogueres.
Està prohibit portar armes de foc.
No es permeten les barbacoes de carbó.

Vehicles

El preu només inclou un vehicle si viatgeu amb caravana o tenda de campanya. El preu de reserva per a autocaravanes/càmpers no inclou cap vehicle addicional.
Està prohibit que els vehicles circulin de 23:30 a 7:00.
Només es permet aparcar un vehicle al costat de la parcel·la. Els vehicles addicionals s'han d'aparcar a la zona designada.

Visites

Els vehicles de les visites no tenen accés autoritzat al càmping.
Els visitants han d'abandonar les instal·lacions abans de les 18:00.
Els visitants han de registrar-se a recepció i pagar una taxa d'accés.
