Liked: Everything , lovely and quiet no frills campsite perfect for what we needed, owner Chris is a top guy and full of useful info for walks and local attractions, the view from the van site is amazing, this is a working farm and not solely a campsite , bathroom facilities are clean but basic but again perfect for what we needed, yes it’s rustic but we like that and will definitely be returning again
Disliked: This isn’t really a dislike but for those who may need a WiFi connection (we didn’t) but I know some people like to have it for work etc if staying for a few days, there isn’t one and there’s not really much of a phone signal either but again didn’t worry us but I’m sure some people would prefer to have it

Liked: Peaceful scenic location in close proximity to hiking trails. Loved the farm animals, particularly the friendly little lamb that kept escaping from the field and hanging out with the campers.

Liked: Lovely, peaceful campsite with a gorgeous view. The owner was phenomenally friendly and appeared to enjoy sharing his farm with campers and tourers. He even gave our children a ride on the quad bike, which they thoroughly enjoyed! Beautiful walk from the camping field up the Allt; a short drive to bigger hills. The facilities are basic, but better than they look. Visitor numbers are capped at a low level, so even though there are only two toilets and two showers, this was not an issue. To find such a quiet corner of Wales, allowing us to let the children roam freely on May Bank Holiday weekend, was priceless. (I selfishly hope the owner does not over-develop the site).
Disliked: The owner was away for a lot of our stay. (This could have been circumstance and not a common occurrence). On leaving, this meant we had to make 5/6 trips down to our car with our stuff, which would not have be necessary if the owner were on site with the quad and trailer. Someone used the compost toilet incorrectly, blocking the front channel (not the owners fault as instructions are displayed). We also needed to ask for more wood shavings for the toilet, however both these issues were sorted quickly.

Liked: The view was really something especially with the lambs and sheep right in front of us.
Disliked: We prepaid for campervan spot with EHU which was needed after a few days at a festival. When we had arrived at 5.30pm, there was no free spot for us to park. Owners were away but Dale who was helping out, was fantastic, he sorted us out and we had to park up on the verge instead and EHU from the barn.

From the manager: hi , sorry we were away - it was extremely regrettable how busy we became and we did not expect that to happen and we sincerely apologise for that . It is always our intention to provide a location which gives the full rural experience of nature , farm animals , stunning views, walks and yet all the essential facilities [ although wifi is not top of our list] - so hope we can rectify the problems you had .

Liked: We've just got back from another wonderful stay here. The views are incredible, both from the campsite, and it's only a half hour walk to the top of the Allt which has gorgeous 360 views over mountains and lakes. The campsite has loads of space and you can borrow firepits which is such a treat in the evening. Debbie and Chris the hosts made us very welcome as always, helped us with our bags, showed us round, met all the animals... Thank you, we'll be back ☺️
