Liked: Everything. Great site with lots to do especially if you have a young family. Will definitely be back with the grandchildren. The staff were very friendly. We asked for a late check out and they let us stay until 4pm as they were quiet but it meant we could enjoy an extra day at this beautiful part of the UK
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Beautiful location, friendly and helpful staff, campers are left to be independent and trusted on the site. Will definitely be back when our little one is old enough to explore!

Non-electric grass pitch (lake view, no pets)
Liked: Good location and activities on site. We had a nice walk around the lake in the campsite. Washing up facilities were great too.
Disliked: Kids throwing frisbees at our tent and car got quite frustrating after the first few times (This was despite there being plenty of large empty grass spaces to play in away from the cars and tents).

Electric grass pitch (lake view, no pets)
Liked: Activities, lack back feel and the beautiful surroundings. Was nice and peaceful to just chill in the evenings. Saw gorgeous sunset views.
Disliked: Toilet block kept overflowing so was a bad smell, I believe there was an issue with the plumbing so the eco-compost loo ended up being the better option! Also cafe limited opening hours and they only did pizza takeaway for the one night even though it was a long bank holiday weekend, so could have been open for longer so we ended up missing out on that and ordering breakfast the next morning which was a shame. Shop also closes early.

Non-electric forest floor tent pitch (forest, pet friendly)
Liked: The whole camp site was lovely. Good sized pitches, easy to check in, lots of activities, walks and cycles to do from the site. Clean toilets/showers. Good washing up station. Close to water tap.
Disliked: Shop didn't have anything we needed (ketchup, sugar, honey). Wood purchased at shop was wet planes flying overhead but accept nothing you can do about that!

Electric grass pitch (lake view, no pets)
Liked: Campsite, lake, washing up facilities, showers
Disliked: No internet. Charge for electric point pitches, the fact that all activities were rather booked up by groups of scouts etc. we stayed Saturday - Monday and couldn’t pre-book any activities as all were sold out however they were not operating the whole day. Shame as the campsite missed out on sales.
