Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)
Liked: Had a wonderful time as our first camping trip of 2A 2C & 2D. Wasn’t sure how it would turn out but the lady at reception was very informative and lovely. The showers/toilet's were very clean. We don’t really have much of a wait to use the showers which was good. The shop on site had a little of everything as we did forget a few things. We did book 2 nights but weather said it was going to pour down on the Sunday morning so we did decided to pack up after one night (first time campers and didn’t want to spoil it) and went out nearby for a lovely walk and kids on the bikes. We booked the larger pitch to make sure we had plenty of room for the dog and kids but we ended up with more than needed. Over all we had a great first time experience.
Disliked: There was nothing to dislike

Liked: the site was lovely, clean and the amenities were cleaned regularly. pitch sizes were large and the shop was well stocked. views were stunning and the site is well located and the greeting on arrival was lovely too :)
Disliked: only slight pick was that the pitches, though well sized were sloping. my youngest said she would have liked for something on site to do.

Liked: Facilities, absolutely amazing and so peaceful. Site rules on a night are to ensure everyone is happy and has a good nights sleep. The site is situated perfectly near local places for things to do. Happily will be going back, and will definitely be booking to go again soon!
Disliked: There is definitely opportunities on the site to offer additional features, such as; restaurant/pub. Granted this adds on additional costs, but it is great for something different on the site, and will help them stand out over other sites in the area.

Liked: Awesome campsite. So well thought out absolutely spotless, friendly staff, large pitch spaces, great views, really couldn't say anything bad about the amenities and cleanliness. They have really thought about things from a campers point of view. My kids had a fabulous time too, especially in the fairy garden and the surprise of an ice-cream van visiting. We will be returning in the future.
Disliked: Only one thing that would really elevate the campsite is maybe having a play area for the children to go to. There is a lovely fairy garden.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (large)
Liked: This was an amazing site that I managed to book two days before arrival. I think the weather forecast was the only reason why! Booking in was quick and easy and we were taken to our pitch by following the golf buggy. Lovely large pitch meant we had loads of room. Toilet block cleaned multiple times a day and housed washing up facilities too including free washing up liquid! 😄 Lots of hot water. The cherry on top was the kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge and freezer available for all to use! There is a lovely short walk for dog owners and/or children over little streams, into a fairy dell and through a paddock of alpacas. Lots of space for games/frisbee/general running around and apart from the crows and general farm/animal noises, was really quiet. Great site that I would recommend. Thank you for a great stay!
Disliked: One small concern was that when the toilet block was busy, the showers would flash cold and then scolding hot. Not enough to burn an adult but enough to upset a small child. This did not happen during "off peak" showering. Only grumble was with other campers. The site is trying hard to fulfill it's recycling obligations but campers seem unable to follow the simple segregation instructions meaning it will all go to land fill. 😒 It's not rocket science and we all do it at home so 🤷.

Kestrel cabin (hot tub)
Liked: Our family recently spent a magical week at this lovely wee campsite just north of the Lake District, for a 70th birthday, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Each family couple had their own cozy cabin or bothy, each one featuring its own private hot tub – a luxurious touch that we all enjoyed immensely. Even my invalid uncle, who stayed in one of the cabins, found the accommodations comfortable and accessible. On our final night, another couple joined us for an overnight stay in one of the cabins, which comfortably accommodates four people. They were equally charmed by the quaint atmosphere, the serene peace and quiet, and the stunning beauty of the surroundings. The campsite itself is immersed in the beautiful countryside, offering breathtaking views and a tranquil environment. We spent our days exploring the natural beauty of the area and our evenings relaxing in the hot tubs. To top it off, we even indulged in some delicious van supplied chips, a few nights to go with our dinners – a simple yet delightful treat. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in a picturesque setting, this campsite is an absolute gem. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Disliked: One area for improvement would be the WiFi, which was somewhat glitchy during our stay. Despite having a huge 4G mast in the neighboring field that provided excellent coverage, the WiFi kept cutting out, quickly using up everyone's data. This was particularly challenging for my 80-year-old uncle, who relies on the internet and ran out of data for the month within the first few days.
