Liked: Lovely site, I'd stayed before, about 11 years ago. It was a great site then but there's clearly been a lot of upgrades since then. Check in was very smooth. We were given a field but were able to choose which pitch within the field, which we liked. The shop, although small, had a good selection. The toilet block was clean and had been updated since our last visit. Excellent location for visiting Wasdale. We were only staying 1 night as we were climbing Scafell Pike the following day. We will definitely be back, next time we'll stay longer.
Disliked: The showers didn't seem very hot, although it may just have been due to timing as my friend said hers was fine (I went at 6.30am, she went in the afternoon).

Liked: Site has good facilities with plenty of showers, loos and washing up sinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. We typically prefer a smaller quieter campsite but found that the far field was in fact very peaceful and people respected the quiet period after 2300. The pizza van was an added bonus! Really god location for walking in the Wasdale area.
Disliked: Nothing we really enjoyed our stay!
