Liked: Great family site with a good layout.good for watching the kids play and get involved with the animals.
Disliked: The owners were very present to the point we felt like we were being watched. While I understand they have to be attentive to keep onto of the site I felt we were being watched like other comments have mentioned.

From the manager: Thanks for your review and overall score. However, we are really sorry you felt like this way about our presence on site. Typically we check bins and the toilet block very regularly throughout the day, both of which were within eye-sight of your pitch, which may have increased your awareness of our presence. We also try to walk around the site once in the evening with our dogs, mainly because we like to be sociable with our guests, but also to check that fire pits are being used sensibly. Being surrounded by trees, this is a very important safety issue. We apologise that we made you feel uncomfortable. I have looked back through other guests' comments from the last couple of years and couldn't find any others that mention this.

Liked: Very picturesque, relaxing, friendly, clean, welcoming, quiet area, farm animals. Andy and Emma are lovely. Both very respectable and friendly. They will wish you a good morning and have an evening chat whilst walking their dogs. Very pleasant. I am not sure if there was wifi as I did not check, however, phone signal is not the best at this location.
Disliked: If you wake easy by farm animals early in the morning, this might be a problem for you. The cockerel likes to be a morning alarm, which personally, I found pleasant.

From the manager: Thanks for your comments. Glad you had a great stay here. Just for clarity, we do not have a cockerel, but our neighbours do.
