See, this dog-friendly site in central Winnemucca is well-situated for mountain biking, hiking and climbing, as it’s 10 minutes’ drive away from the Winnemucca Sand Dunes and 15 minutes from Water Canyon… and the casino on site means you’ll be able to indulge in the occasional casino night too.
Where will you be bedding down exactly? Well, on West Winnemucca Boulevard in Winnemucca, Nevada, this site has the city on all sides, so shops, restaurants and leisure facilities are all within walking distance. Still, there’s plenty of lush greenery on site, from trees to a ‘bark park’ for pets to stretch their legs.
It’s easy going here too, thanks to the facilities on site… there’s an amenities block with showers and toilets, laundry facilities and wifi too to map your way out to your next port of call. And when it’s party time, there’s a sports lounge bar and casino to wind down the day with a game on the machines and a drink or two.
You won’t have to go far for snacks or souvenirs, though, as there's a small shop selling these here. And if you’re looking for something a little more substantial to keep you going throughout the day, the restaurant serves meals including breakfast and dinner with dishes such as prime ribs, burgers and Mexican food up for grabs.

Those of you who like the city lights will be sorted here, as all the attractions of the city are around. But will it be a trip to the cinema, a dip in the swimming pool or a bowling alley showdown first? Perhaps another games night in one of the surrounding casinos? These are all within five minutes’ drive of the site, so you won’t have far to go.
Don’t forget to pack your hiking boots though, as outside of the city, there’s quite the choice of climbs – and the scenery really shines, whether that's on the ravine hike around Water Canyon (15 minutes’ drive) or up and around Winnemucca Mountain (20 minutes), where there are mountain biking trails careering back down the slopes.
Perhaps you’ll want to gear up for some climbing or mountaineering around Sonoma Peak (45 minutes) too. However, those of you who are searching for something that will really pick up the pace (and kick up a storm at the same time), the Winnemucca Sand Dunes (10 minutes) are all about the dune buggies and quad biking activities.
