Message to all hikers on the Camino de Santiago (aka St James’s Way) – whichever of the ancient routes you’ve followed, you’re very nearly at the end point by the time you get to Camping Peregrino San Marcos. This relaxed and spacious site is seven kilometres from the centre of Santiago de Compostela, making it a handy spot for a stopover before the final push – or a place to retreat to for a well-earned rest once you’ve acquired your final stamp. That’s not to say that you have to arrive on foot at all – you’re equally welcome to come straight here and settle in for a holiday (with family and dogs in tow if you wish). There are numerous hiking trails nearby where you can get a taster of the area's scenery, and a shuttle bus runs to the city centre for easy days out exploring at your leisure. You might also like to head into the city for a meal (the seafood is particularly fine around here), although there's also a restaurant on site, and a barbecue area for alfresco self catering. Whether you’ve trekked across the country, taken a hike locally or just strolled around the city streets, the presence of a swimming pool on site for a refreshing dip is likely to be very welcome. The same goes for the beach bar, serving up cool drinks to end your day. A play area and games room are also on site to provide entertainment for the kids. Pitches here are spacious and shaded, sitting among the trees; they all have access to a launderette and washing-up area as well as toilets and showers.

喜欢: Grands emplacements, pas très loin de santiago.
Facile d’accès, sur le chemin de Saint Jacques
Le parc est propre et entretenu.
Les sanitaires sont un peu vétustes, basiques mais propres.
Il y a une cuisine avec une table et de l’eau chaude pour la vaisselle.
Bar à l’entrée, accueil sympathique
Pas très cher 23€ par jour tout compris

喜欢: Nothing. The site looked abandoned.

不喜欢: When we arrived the place looked abandoned. There was mo one there nowhere was open and all the pitches were overgrown.
The buildings were in a state of disrepair and the whole place felt unsafe. We did not stop but found a really good site about 3Km away next to the restaurants at the bottom of the road.
I am trying to find get the deposit back from Pitch up but not having much response at the moment.

喜欢: Nada, ESTÁ CERRADO

不喜欢: El Camping lo encontramos simplemente CERRADO, sin luces y sin responder a los 2 números de teléfono indicados.
Acabamos en un pàrking de caravanas cercano, y allí nos comentaron que llevaba mucho tiempo cerrado, y que eran conocidos en la zona por aceptar los 3€ de reserva y después no dar el servicio (ya que la gente por 3€ no reclaman ni denuncian). Una gran decepción.

喜欢: Quiet at night.

不喜欢: The WiFi didn’t work and the site was very soggy. We were able to park on a concrete path so it was OK but it wouldn’t have been any good if only actual pitches were available. Tired facilities but kept very Although the first reception was fine the other staff were overworked with the cafe bar and quite rude when we asked about WiFi

喜欢: Dat er plek was. Sterker nog, we hadden de hele camping tot onze beschikking.

不喜欢: Dat we, hoewel behalve het warme water alle voorzieningen waren afgesloten, dat we langdurig in de herrie zaten van kettingzagen (buiten schuld van de camping; oorzaak de zware storm) tóch de volle mep moesten betalen.

喜欢: Ruhig gelegener Campingplatz mit freundlichen Betreibern.
Restaurant schnelle und einfache Speisen, aber o.k.

不喜欢: Wir hatten kühle Temperaturen und in den Sanitärräumen war es kälter als draußen. Aber alles sauber und ordentlich.

喜欢: At least the facilities were clean.

不喜欢: Pretty well everything. Dismal site pressed up against a factory. The swimming pool was derelict. The
Bar area was uninspired with little choice. Quite a long walk along a very busy road to catch the airport shuttle bus into Santiago. No information board.

当地景点

The gorgeous city of Santiago de Compostela is a wonderful place to spend some time – there’s heaps to see here, so getting the shuttle in and out a couple of times is a great idea. The spectacular cathedral is the city’s glittering highlight, with the huge Praza do Obradoiro square just outside. Simply wandering the streets of the Old Town is lovely too – looking out for places like Praza da Quintana and stopping for drinks and eats along the way. To get a good overview of it all, head to Monte do Gozo (five minutes' drive/half an hour's walk), which has fabulous far-reaching views across the city’s rooftops. There are lots more places to have a walk nearby too (often involving a river or waterfall), plus fishing and horse riding. If you'd like to see a bit more of this part of Spain, Vigo, A Coruña and Pontevedra are all within an hour's drive, as is the lovely wine-producing coastal town of Cambados – all make excellent day trip options.
