A pebble throw from a Valencian beach with sandy and pebbly patches, and facilities open in every season: one could (and should) spend as many months here as one can manage. There's no shutting doors to the pool, activities or other leisurely pursuits at Camping Didota once high season ends, for this amiable place ensures access to all its facilities and events as long as the site is open. Whatever the weather, your starting point on arrival may well be the fab outdoor pool for dips and gentle floats; there's a small indoor pool too where you can swim against the tide. Indoor facilities include a well-stocked library to peruse, a movie room for film nights, a gym and exercise classes like yoga and zumba (plus a hairdresser to sort your post-exercise barnet); if you're not a native, you can even learn to speak a bit of Spanish too should you so wish. The restaurant is undercover as well, to dish up local food and wines as well as events like tapas nights and flamenco. A basic wifi connection is yours free of charge; an extra charge applies if you'd like the added oomph of 4G. Didota is two kilometres from the Castellón and Valencian Community seaside town of Oropesa del Mar, between the Mediterranean and the Sierra de Oropesa mountain range. Oropesa is linked by a greenway coastal path to the seaside town of Benicàssim about 10 kilometres away: hiring a bike at Camping Didota and taking this scenic pedalling path is much recommended. And there's yet more: Camping Didota is surrounded by a lively tourist resort, where you can get stuck into loads more antics including miniature golf, a waterpark and an amusement park… you may want to book your return visit now…

喜欢: Great campsite located right on the beach with a nice on-site restaurant. Supermarkets are within walking distance, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Large Facilities Block cleaned everyday.

不喜欢: There was maintenance work taking place nearby, so had loud constant banging from 8.30am until 6pm everyday. This isn’t the campsites fault but didn’t make the stay as enjoyable as it could be. Wifi not great

喜欢: Friendly staff, excellent facilities (bar by the sea and pool). The toilet and shower block is spacious and well maintained. There seems to be a great community there, and the rules are followed which results in a clean, quiet and restorative place to stay

不喜欢: You feel very squeezed in, as the pitches just have rope fences between them and are quite small. There is also very little going on in the locality outside of the main season.

喜欢: You could hear the waves from the sea while falling asleep. Covered pitches were good for shade. Site was very accommodating as we arrived very late after having a burst tyre.

不喜欢: Pitches quite small and tight. Felt very close to the neighbours!

Supermarket, laundry, bar and food on site.
Dog friendly beach (I think).

不喜欢: Nothing really.
Close to Barcelona airport so plane noise from early morning to late at night .

Booking in was easy and simple and the staff were helpful whilst professional
Pitches were clean and tidy
Facilities were exceptional
Entertainment was also provided in restaurant

不喜欢: All ways same challenge, dogs are allowed to come, but then again their not allowed to the beach, and nearly now where else.

喜欢: Op doorreis voor een nacht, ruime vlakke plaatsen en heerlijk aan zee met een goed restaurant en terras. Vriendelijke behulpzaam personeel, nette sanitair ruimtes.

不喜欢: Echt een Spanjaarde camping met veel gezinnen heerlijke bbq lucht en luidruchtige kinderen maar om 12 uur is het bijna stil.

An amusement park, waterpark, go-karting and sports courts are in the area surrounding Camping Didota, with loads more attractions within easy reach. Beaches, coves and watersports are close by too, and the wetlands of the Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca Natural Park are under 10 minutes' drive to the north. Take your two wheels along the greenway coastal path to the small but lively town of Benicàssim, home to the world-famed FIB music festival every summer, or take to four wheels to reach other well-known Valencian seaside towns like Villafamés (30 minutes), or Sagunto and Peñiscola, both 50 minutes away. Province capital Valencia is about an hour and 10 minutes' drive. Kids might clamour for a day or three at mighty PortAventura, reachable in the other direction from Valencia within about an hour and a half. Back to the south, the zoo and African creatures of Bioparc Valencia are just over an hour from the site.
