Say a big buongiorno to blissing out after battling the crowds of Venice at Camping Venezia Village, which is about a 10-minute bus journey door to door from the canal city. It has a spa (including an indoor pool, sauna and hot tub), which is accessible for an additional cost This is a pet-friendly park and has a restaurant, pizzeria and snack bar for eats back on site by night. A shop is also at the resort for squirrelling away snacks; packed lunches are also available (ask on site) and staff can organise guided tours as well. If you’re not off sightseeing during daylight hours, Camping Venezia Village is a pretty place for a break from the action: trees are all around for shade, and further scenic shrubbery to wander among is a 20-minute walk away at the 74-hectare San Giuliano Park, which has excellent views over Venice and its lagoon. A bus stop is a five-minute walk away to get you into the city without the hassle of driving; beach volleyball, a gym, tennis and a go-kart track are all within a couple of kilometres. Post-afternoons admiring the glittering palaces and Grand Canal, retreat back to the site for a barbecue (grilling facilities are free of charge) followed by a spritz at the bar… or hunker down and use the wifi and TV in the restaurant while the kids run up and down the playground.

喜欢: The bathroom and shower facilities were phenomenal. The restaurant served the most delicious foods. The swimming pool and play area was great for our daughter to play in.
Plus being able to get the bus directly into Venice was a huge bonus and very easy to use.
Would 100% stay again.

喜欢: Good location. 10 minute bus ride from Venice and you can buy tickets at the reception. Very good, clean facilities. The pool looked nice, although we didn't use it. Had some lovely meals at the onsite restaurant.

Make Venice's Piazzale Roma (10 minutes’ drive away) your first stop on a trip to the city – it's a handy hub for walking towards sights on the main island such as the spooky prisons of the Doge's Palace or the white limestone Bridge of Sighs (both half an hour on foot). See the city from the water by boarding a vaporetto; you’ll also need to hail one of these for trips to other islands in Venice Lagoon, from Murano – known for its master glassmakers – to Burano, home to brightly coloured houses and a lace-making heritage. Once you’re done with Venice (which might take quite a bit of time, to be fair…), other activities in the local area include dreamy beach days at Lido di Venezia, about a half an hour’s vaporetto ride from Piazzale Roma.
