Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

A peaceful site in the middle of Monte Baldo Natural Park, Camping Polsa sits at the foot of the Italian Alps, in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. This is an excellent place if you are into outdoor pursuits – from hiking and mountain biking (you can hire a set of wheels on site) to winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snowboarding. However, if your pleasure runs to more sedentary activities (perhaps more along the lines of taking in mountain views with a glass of locally produced wine in hand, or listening to birdsong as you stroll in the surrounding woods), Polsa also delivers. The indoor swimming pool (with sauna and Jacuzzi, plus huge windows looking out to wooded peaks) is a great place to start your journey to relaxation. Other facilities include sporting fields (football, basket and volleyball) and a games room with ping pong tables – be warned: with so much for the kids to do around the site, you might see them only at mealtimes. Speaking of which, there are a couple of pizzerias in Brentonico (20 minutes’ drive); however, there’s no need to negotiate the hair-raising zig-zagging road to the town every time you feel hungry, since a restaurant on site serves traditional regional fare (it also has children’s and vegan menus). In addition, there’s a shop selling snacks and assorted items. Amenities include a modern toilet block (with showers and facilities for disabled guests), a washing-up area and a launderette.

不喜欢: We were doing a motorhome trip around northern Italy and planning our route daily. In the morning we booked Camping Polsa as it had availability for 2 motorhomes (as we were travelling with friends). We arrived at the site at 4pm to a closed boom bar and no signs of life. We walked around all the buildings which were shut up and no lights on. We walked onto the site but there wasn’t another person around. It was obviously closed for the season but hadn’t been removed from the booking system. Very disappointing as the site was remotely up a mountain and we then had to quickly find another site to stay at which was over an hour away. I’m still awaiting my refund for the deposits paid and felt nervous about booking directly through pitchup after this experience so we made contact directly with other sites.

喜欢: Die Lage des Campingplatzes ist perfekt. Man hat eine schöne Aussicht und kann direkt seine Wandertour oder zum Mountainbiken starten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Pizza im Restaurant sehr empfehlenswert.

喜欢: Mi è piaciuta la disponibilità dei gestori a venire incontro alle nostre esigenze di logistica, sia per il posizionamento delle tende, sia per il posteggio delle auto. I servizi offerti sono dal più che soddisfacente al buono: buona pulizia dei servizi igienici, ristorante e bar all' altezza del servizio, piazzole attrezzate con acqua gas e allaccio alla corrente. Inoltre la località del campeggio offre la disponibilità di alcuni sentieri belli e adatti alla maggior parte delle persone, adulti e bambini. Altra cosa bella la presenza di un mercatino con bancarelle sul piazzale davanti al campeggio, dove rilassarsi con acquisti utili o stravaganti o degustare varie prelibatezze.

不喜欢: Non mi è piaciuta la coppia di russatori della piazzola vicina...ma la cosa l'ho risolta con dei buoni tappi per le orecchie.

喜欢: Location was great and quality of grass and level pitch was great for a tent. Showers were clean and spacious. On site shop and restaurant were a good and necessary addition. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

不喜欢: The pitches were quite small and compact.

当地景点

Dominating the Adige Valley (and its terraced vineyards), the Castello di Avio fortress (40 minutes’ drive) dates back to the Middle Ages, when it was a cultural and artistic hub. Inside, the walls are decorated with well-preserved frescoes portraying religious scenes and knights fighting battles, plus a couple kissing (in the so-called Love Room). These mountains saw lots of military action during World War I. The monumental Ossario di Castel Dante, on the outskirts of Rovereto (40 minutes), houses the remains of 20,000 soldiers of several nationalities. Nearby, the Campana dei Caduti memorial bell (made with the bronze of war cannons) tolls 100 times each night. Torbole (45 minutes) is a small town in the northern reaches of Lake Garda. Spread a towel on its pebbly beach and watch the windsurfers as they glide across the water with the mountains in the background. Or hire a bike and cycle along the paved Ciclabile del Basso Sarca path all the way to the village of Sarche.
