Any Italian site within walking distance of an excellent Italian city should get many thumbs up from most travellers, and so it is at Tuscany's Camping Colleverde, which is only two and a half kilometres from the fine city of Siena – have an evening stroll into town after a fine Italian meal at the site restaurant. Too full after dinner or can't be faffed with the walk? A bus stops only a few steps away from the site gates. The restaurant at Colleverde serves tasty Tuscan dishes as well as classic Italian options like pasta and pizzas; for more authentic Italian experiences, pick up a coffee at the bar of a morning and return later for an evening aperitivo... Also on site are a seasonal swimming pool open from June to mid-September and a mini market stocked with daily essentials.

Mooie camping, perfect sanitair, zeer goed restaurant, handig supermarktje, broodjesdienst. Supervriendelijke uitbater van restaurant, bar en superette.

不喜欢 moeilijk te bereiken camperservice met grote camper.

- Hundefreundlich mit ausgewiesenen Bereichen für die Hunde

不喜欢 - Schwimmen im Pool nur mit Badekappe möglich
- der Auslauf für die Hunde ist schon sehr klein
- die Sanitäranlagen waren ok, jedoch sehr in die Jahre gekommen

De vuilbakken stonden bijna op onze ‘pitch’..waar constant mensen afval en flessen kwamen ingooien!

Great for short stay, great location for Siena. Not for motorhomes!

喜欢 Clean well organised campsite. Great pool area with plenty of space around and good pool bar. Excellent restaurant. Pitches mostly good with space and most with shade. Staff friendly and helpful but tired at end of long summer season.

不喜欢 Though our pitch was fine as we have a small VW, the motor home pitches resembled a car park with no privacy or shade at all so would not recommend site for motor homes. Toilet/shower blocks clean with hot water but could do with a bit of maintenance and modernisation , eg some showers with no spray heads, hand driers not working.

From Siena, take a bus or train to Florence, also a most excellent city, or drive from base to the tourist destinations of Montalcino, Montepulciano (famed for its wine), and the Chianti hills to track down the best of Tuscan gastronomy. San Gimignano, famous for its medieval architecture and the tower houses, is also within easy reach.
