Set in the village of Caprioli in Capo Palinuro and a short drive from busier tourist resorts, Campeggio Costa del Mito has direct access to a beach and is right in the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park for days of sandy sunbathing and eagle-eyed nature spotting: take alternate days for both…?
The site is a peaceful place for families and couples looking for a quiet Italian seaside break, but is only a short drive to the busier tourist resorts of this part of Italian coast. It has direct access to its own pebble beach with beach umbrellas and deckchairs, a tiptop spot for families because of its shallow waters and lifeguard presence.
Campeggio Costa del Mito is shaded by oak, pine and olive trees and has a restaurant-pizzeria with spacious terrace and sea views to take in alongside the menu of tasty Med cuisine and traditional local dishes. Three bars are also on site, along with a TV room and mini market.
If you can prise the kids off the beach, a playground and high season activities are on site to keep them busy: always an excellent option on family holidays too…

Ask at the Campeggio Costa del Mito for help with arranging excursions to the many options around the region: you could wander around the Cilento and Vallo di Diano Nature Park to the north, make for Velia 45 minutes' drive away or Maratea within an hour and 20, or investigate ancient history in the region with a potter around Paestum, a hour and 15 minutes from the site.
Boat trips are big in this area too, with Capo Palinuro, Baia del Buon Dormire (15 minutes) and Baia degli Infreschi (50 minutes) all popular options. Diving is also available nearby.
Campeggio Costa del Mito is near an equestrian centre too for Italian-based equine enthusiasts.
