喜欢: Peaceful site, easy check-in, nice spacious pitches.

不喜欢: Shower block was a little basic and became slightly unclean toward the end of the day (ran out of toilet roll etc).

It's true that our showers are a bit rudimentary but we're currently working on installing proper showers.
As for toilet paper, we make some available to our campers. But as with any campsite, it's not compulsory.

喜欢: Not luxury but everything you need
Very quiet ,very clean facilities .
Although blown heating in shower block it felt cold . Shower took some time get warm but eventually ok
Owners friendly and helpful

不喜欢: Couldn’t access WiFi
Mobile signal poor as in a wooded area
( not sites fault ) m

We had a lot of people on our campsite when you came and indeed when you arrived, the flat pitches were already taken.
As far as the showers are concerned, the hot water is supplied by a gas boiler and you have to wait for the hot water to come back each time.
We've only recently taken over the campsite and we're trying to improve it. The sanitary block is one of our priorities.

不喜欢: Having to fill water from a sink tap as all water points turned off.
Pitches very sloping side to side.

The water points were indeed closed because we had temperatures of -5° and the pipes were frozen. We did however find a solution so that you could have water to drink as well as for your vehicle!
As far as the pitches are concerned, the flat ones were already taken, so yes, you did have a slightly sloping pitch and so you had to put your wedges in.

In fact, with temperatures of -5°, the pipes were frozen and we had to close the taps to repair them. Unfortunately, you arrived at our campsite at that precise moment.

喜欢: Fabulous, rural setting. A real back to nature site

不喜欢: Slightly disappointing, the site could do with a little maintenance (cleaner facilities, loo roll, replace broken bulbs and perhaps mow the grass especially on the pitches)

As far as mowing the grass on the pitches is concerned, it's not easy to do it in the rain and respect the peace and quiet of the campers.

喜欢: Nice spacious pitches, lovely location, easy to check in and out, ability to order pain and croissants the day before which was great!

不喜欢: There seemed to be lots of 'rubble' around near the entrance- just looked a little messy.
The shower we used was unfortunately not very good - was more of a spray than a shower, and the cubicle we used just felt very outdated and not clean. I did notice there were other cubicle blocks that looked newer that would probably be nicer! They were just locked when we were there.

喜欢: Lots of shade

不喜欢: Half the toilet and shower blocks were shut, which is a shame as they looked like the newer block. The showers were like being washed with a power sprinkler.
Our pitch was also given away, so when we returned from a day trip in our van, we came back to someone else parked in our spot. As a result we pitched up in the next available spot. The person working there then came and questioned who we are and why we parked up. It was a bit awkward and not something we've come across before.

Regarding the new toilet block, we had some rascals clogging up the toilet with paper and stones, so we had to close it.
