On the lookout for a peaceful site in central France? Have a craving to visit the Creuse? Camping de Courtille could be just the ticket: this shaded spot is located next to the serene green waters of a local lake and close to the woodland wonder that is the national Chabrières forest. The nearby town of Guéret (five minutes' drive) is well set up to welcome visitors to the region and is home to a handy tourist office where you can get hints and tips on the best places to walk, cycle, swim or fish. Guided tours of the surrounding area can also be sorted here. The sizeable body of water adjacent to your new base covers a sprawling 22 hectares; plenty of picnic spots line its banks. There is a beach one kilometre away that guests can walk to directly from the site (with lifeguards keeping a beady eye on things in July and August). Watersports like sailing, windsurfing, paddleboarding and canoeing are all available at the beach too. On site, guests have access to nifty facilities like wifi, a washing-up area and a play area. Feel free to set up a barbecue if you fancy cooking over coals; to stock up on grub to grill (or any other holiday essentials), head to the supermarket 10 minutes' drive away on the outskirts of Guéret.

喜欢: Really lovely site, loved the way the pitches were laid out.
Toilets, shower area and washing up facilities were spotless.
Lake close by and easy to walk around if you wanted to use the 'beach' facilities and have a drink in the bar.

Nous tenons à rectifier vos propos.

La plage est à 1 km du camping et un accès direct du camping vous permet de vous y rendre à pied.

Par contre il est est vrai que vous avez séjourné une nuit au lieu des 7 nuits prévues mais vous avez décidé de partir car selon vos propres dires "le camping ne correspondait pas à ce que vous aviez consulté sur internet".

Nous étions désolés de vous voir partir et cette situation nous a vraiment embêté.
Nous la regrettons.

Nous vous avons donc proposé de changer d'emplacements mais vous avez refusé. Quel accueil désagréable, n'est-ce pas ?

Malgré l'importance accordée à la satisfaction de notre clientèle, nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu répondre favorablement à un remboursement.

Monsieur nous a même répondu que ce n'était pas grave et qu'il comprenait et Madame, nous ne vous avons pas entendu dire le contraire.

La vérité est rétablie maintenant.

Guéret's very own Museum of Art and Archeology is a five-minute drive away, as is the funky municipal cultural centre. The surrounding countryside is home to heaps of well-marked paths and trails (enquire at the Guéret tourist office for more info), but if you fancy really getting lost for a change you can try out the Labyrinthe Géant des Monts de Guéret, a jumbo-sized local maze (10 minutes). Now you're fully tuned in to the call of the wild, you might feel brave enough to visit the wolves that lurk around these parts. Keep your eyes peeled for these furtive creatures as you tour the local conservation centre (20 minutes), which is home to a variety of different species. Having seen these noble beasts roaming in an ancient forest, you might also start to feel a bit blue-blooded yourself. If so, head to the nearby Château de Jouillat (20 minutes), whose tall and imposing towers can be seen for miles around. If you don't mind the hour's drive, a trip to Limoges is well worth considering. The Limousin capital is perhaps most famous for its porcelain factories, but make sure to take in sights like Saint Étienne Cathedral, Saint Martial Bridge and the botanical gardens too.
