Camping Le Vaurette

喜欢 We loved it. It's the nicest site we've been to in terms of its location by the Dordogne. Because we visited just as the season ended it was quiet we had the pick of all the pitches so chose a riverside pitch. When we opened our caravan blinds all we could see was the river a few metres away, it was wonderful. The site is low key and laid back and felt very peaceful. Lovely staff, great bread and pastries in the morning, clean, well maintained. The toilet facilities were clean and well thought out. Supermarket etc 10 minutes drive in Argentat. Good location for exploring the east of the Dordogne area and far more peaceful than than the west more touristy Dordogne.

喜欢 For fear of getting this site inundated I didn’t want to write a review however this site is amazing!! We had a beautiful pitch by the river, our boys enjoyed floating down the rapids as did the adults! You can purchase rubber rings from the shop at a very reasonable price. The facilities were beautifully clean, the pool area was stunning as was the pub next to the pool! Our only regret was we had only booked one night! Will definitely be back!!

不喜欢 Having to leave!!
The toad that decided he was more comfortable in our tent rather than his own habitat!
If I was to have any criticism it would be the only food available at the bar was pizza but if they don’t have a demand for food options then why would they! And the pizza was good!

喜欢 Fantastic location, the river flows right by it so paddling, swimming and canoeing are possible. Shady pitches, great facilities. The surrounding countryside is very hilly so bigger motorhomes may struggle, but if you are confident but cautious it is an easy site to find. Nice little snack-bar . Would definitely visit again . Even though it was busy it did not feel full and the facilities coped easily .

不喜欢 Slightly spoiled by teenagers roaming around late at night, making noise up until 2am. We did visit at peak season, so probably quieter away from the kids holidays.

不喜欢 Jeugd die in de nacht nog over de camping liepen. In het sanitairgebouw herrie maakten.

喜欢 Amazing spot right next to the river. Loads of space per pitch. The toilets and showers are immaculate and the building is well designed. Loads to do if you have kids. Nice little shop were you can order fresh bakery items daily. The shop Sells plenty of essentials. There’s a bar and snack shop open until late. The lady on reception was very happy and helpful and her English is excellent. I’d definitely come back as it’s such an amazing place. It’s surprisingly quiet considering there are a fair few people here. Normally I don’t like busy campsites but this is quiet and genuinely doesn’t feel busy at all! We brought our own kayaks and there are plenty of places to get in the river. You can hire them too.
