Canoe trip down the Dordogne, anyone? You surely should: think of the social media bragging rights at the very least. And how about setting off right from a lushly green family park for your gentle days adrift on the water? Fully sorted at Camping l'Écho du Malpas, right by the Dordogne with direct access to the river for canoe-based adventures. This splendid state of affairs is in the Limousin region and Correze department, two and half kilometres from Argentat (a rather splendid spot in itself) and three and a half from the hillside village of Monceaux sur Dordogne. The Dordogne gorges (for more canoeing, plus rambling, hiking and biking) are within easy reach, and watery trips of a different sort are nearby at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne via its traditional gabare river boats. Camping l'Écho du Malpas is a green and pleasant site warmly welcoming families, on a space of over two and a half hectares. Facilities are excellent for your days on site: the waterpark has a 200m² main pool, a 100m² tiddlers' pool and a double waterslide; there's a playground and a trampoline for excited bouncing about, and the team organises regular entertainment in high season (guests can also opt to pay for activity sessions like pony rides or paddleboarding). The site also has a restaurant, and barbecues are allowed.

喜欢: La proximité de la Dordogne.
Le cadre verdoyant et très bien entretenu du camping . Une piscine impeccable.
Un accueil souriant et convivial.
Mobil home très beau et calme .
Je met quatres étoiles sur cinq pour les enfants, nous avons trois enfants et nous reviendrons avec , c'est certain. Mais l'accès sans sécurité à la Dordogne peu effrayé un peu .

喜欢: Camping calme, propre et très agréable. Nous avons passé seulement 1 nuit et avec ce mauvais temps malheureusement pas pu tester la piscine qui nous donnait pourtant envie.

有电 草地 单元

喜欢: 2 weken op deze kleine gemoedelijke Franse camping gestaan vlak aan de rivier. We waren met de caravan en twee kinderen. er zijn grote caravan plaatsen en met genoeg schaduw. Nette en schone sanitair. Mooi en heerlijk zwembad met glijbaan en super schoon . Receptie en personeel spreken alleen Frans maar met translate kom je een heel eind dit is overigens geen belemmering geweest van onze vakantie. Personeel erg vriendelijk en willen je overal mee helpen. Er is een Speeltuin , voetbalveld, tafeltennis alles is mogelijk voor kinderen. Animatie doet ook goed zijn best. Avonds is er af en toe live muziek . Ochtenden kun je brood halen bij de receptie die je vooraf kunt bestellen. Je kunt op de camping op reservering kanoën. Omgeving is uitgestrekt maar er is genoeg te doen. Kortom wij komen zeker een keertje terug .

This is top fishing as well as canoeing territory: ask the Camping l'Écho du Malpas for info on the best fly fishing spots nearby, or drop into Argentat's tourist office at Place da Maïa. The tourist office is your starting point for ambles around Argentat (pick up the leaflet highlighting the best sights): wander down to the river past the medieval houses and small chapels to properly round off your urban saunter with a bite or three at one of the cafés of the 19th-century quay area. If you still crave Dordogne cuisine, trip-trap back over the bridge for eats at an Argentat riverside restaurant. Gabare rides (that's trips in a traditional river boat to those not familiar with the lingo) are at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, 25 minutes' drive away, a town that needs at least a few hours to potter around too. Zip along here on a Wednesday if you can manage it, to pick up produce at the busy market; if you fancy a picnic after that (oui), amble a couple of kilometres upstream to reach a pretty parking place and a spot for alfresco eats. Department capital Tulle is 25 minutes' drive from the site.
