Camping La Castillonderie is a quiet retreat in a countryside location in the green Vézère Valley, between Montignac (8km) and Les Eyzies-de-Tayac-Sireuil (20km). The campsite is a family-run business ideally located for exploring the region and its attractions. Spend a day out in the Vallée de l’Homme, famous for the prehistoric caves of Madeleine, Roque-Saint-Christophe, Castel-Merle and the facsimile Lascaux II. The campsite is shaded by leafy young trees and has a small pond suitable for fishing. There is also a snack bar open from mid-May to mid-September where freshly baked bread is available every morning. The swimming pool is heated so that you don't need to worry about the weather. Kids can also have fun on the bouncy castle and join the team in a variety of activities organised during high season.

The campsite is only 800 metres from the Thot Natural History Museum, 1.5km from the Losse Castle and 2.5km from Castel Merle prehistorical site. The cute village of Saint Léon sur Vézère is 5km away from the site. Guests should also visit la Roque Saint Christophe, a big rock formation with shelters at the river Vézère, near Peyzac-le-Moustier, only 8km from the site. A little further afield the wonderful town of Sarlat la Canéda with its superb restaurants, small shops and the farmers' market.
